At $168 for lunch, I would say it's quite a steal! The fish was good but not so much the rice. Some bites were more moist/soft while others were hard. There wasn't as much interactions with the chef as he was talking to the regulars more! The apprentice was more approachable in many ways! Would probably return to try other fishes but there's quite an amount of sushi restaurants to try in Singapore
I really like Koji’s chirashi. The sashimi cuts are generous and even though they’re marinated, it’s not overwhelming. The yuzu tea at the side was a no for me though. The servers asked what drink we would like upon sitting, listing a few teas they have. But there wasn’t a drink menu so the price was unknown until the bill comes. It was $4 per glass and refills of hot water only diluted the yuzu flavour.
Simmered anago on a bed of red vinegar rice. It’s hard to find anago in Singapore so I had to order this! It was nice but personally felt that they doused too much of the sauce the anago was simmered with onto the rice making it quite sweet. For the prices they charge here, it still warrants a visit. I might try their bara chirashi next.
Just slightly under $20 this bowl comes with free flow of pickles and a daikon buri stew. Pretty worth the price!
Absolutely delicious and pretty affordable at $9.80++ for the signature bowl. The spicy one is really good too. Much prefer this to Kajiken as it feels less oily.
For days you just need to satisfy a craving, this place is a cheaper alternative to places like Uya and Manman
