The best kueh dadar around!
Each piece costs < $1
So, ‘Spicy’ is an understatement here.
Honestly thought my spice tolerance was pretty good, and ordered the standard zhong la but that led to a purchase of 4 cups of teh peng and adding water into our bowl (ya, i committed a crime)
Taste-wise, thought they did pretty well but could do more on the numbing factor.
Damage: $15.20 for 2 pax with rice, maggi, pork belly, chicken, fishcakes, spinach, oyster mushrooms and more
Found this hidden gem nestled in one of the coffee shops in Clementi West! Serving handmade dim sum, the variety here is not as wide as your typical dim sum shops but for what the lack in variety, they sure do make up in terms of quality.
For those who love a bursting, oozy salted egg lava bun, we’d highly recommend getting their Liu Sha Bao 🤤 Their Chee Cheong Fun is silky smooth and definitely a must-try too!
Damn good Hokkien Mee in Sengkang, now currently one of our favourite go-to in this area! Served by the corner BBQ stall all the way at the end of the Kopitiam (and they’re halal!)
A huge plate for the smallest size priced at $3.50 makes it very value-for-money, not to mention the intense wok hei and prawn flavour brimming throughout the dish. 🙌🏼 Get their white carrot cake too if you’re feeling peckish cus it’s also really guuuud.
Their meats fared slightly above average, but it’s definitely not worth a special visit to JB. Order their meats when you’re in bigger groups, otherwise you might end up getting not-so-good cuts of meat like we did!
Unpretentious with every aspect of the dish done well. 💯
Only $19 for everything pictured above, it fed 4 of us well! Be prepared for long queues though as this is one of the most popular stalls in Serangoon Gardens Food Centre (and for good reason).
Probably one of Singapore’s most famous chicken rice chains. A pretty satisfying meal, but honestly prefer some other hawker stalls when it comes to personal preference.
Truly one of the best pratas you can get your hands on in Singapore but be prepared for a long waiting time.
$15.50 for this huge bowl of food! Have had their mala a couple of times and it’s rather consistent, pricing goes by weight so they don’t overcharge unlike many other stalls! Good stuff 👌🏼
