Burpple Beyond
The portion was greater than what we have thought. It was very worth it to come for their lunch set and even more worth it with Burpple 1-for-1. The sashimi was very fresh and there was a tinge of truffle taste which was not too strong. Indoor seating was quite packed considering it was a Friday afternoon. Recommended to try their lunch set!
The baby pork ribs were very tender and flavourful. It is even more worth it with Burpple one for one
This rendang was very flavourful and the portion was just nice for one. We ordered the bua keluk spaghetti as well however, we found that it was on a very bland side and we had to ask for salt to enhance the flavour of this dish. Overall it is worthwhile to try with Burpple.
The one for one made the meal very worth it. However, restaurant seemed to be understaff. Have to wait long to just get cutlery. Food wise, it tasted a bit bland and the meat was not as juicy and tender as what I was expecting. Will return if there is one for one.
This big breakfast came as a surprise. We did not expect such a big plate and definitely value for money. We ordered the fried chicken waffle as well since there is Burpple one for one. Waffle was great however the chicken could have been better if it was marinated. Without the sauce and batter, the chicken was bland.
Ordered the vegetarian bkt. The herbal taste was very strong and tasty. Those who love herbal soup would enjoy this dish a lot. The double patty - otah and tofu quinoa, was a unique combination. The bun was soft and fluffy, with a slight crisp on the exterior. The otah was a tad too soft for our liking but it tasted exactly like how otah should taste. Tofu quinoa was an interesting patty which we enjoyed.
We order Thai green curry. The curry was very fragrant and thick, it was a good match with the plain white rice. However the seafood didn't seem very fresh and the portion of seafood wasn't a lot. Saving grace was the curry. The deep fried pork shoulder was good! It was savoury.
For the price paid and the 1 for 1 deal for mains below $10, we will definitely return to try more.
The customer service was bad. We had to self serve cutlery and water. The server was inattentive and we stood at the entrance without anyone welcoming us.
The breakfast set is only worth it if there is a one for one using Burpple beyond, if not it would have been too pricey. The baked beans were quite well done and savoury. Sunny side up with truffle was good too.
They ran out of lu rou fan during lunch time and we ordered honey chicken rice instead. It was a tad too bland for our liking. The oyster mee sua was good and the yan su ji was savoury and not too oily as well. It's worth to try with one for one deal where it included a main, snack and drink.
The portion was generous and the food were flavourful. It was packed during mealtimes.
The atmosphere is very ideal for catch up with friends. The laksa pasta was great however pulled pork burger was on the salty side. Nothing wow about the dark chocolate tarts though.
If you don't mind the slow service, the long waiting time (we waited for quite a while before we could order), this set is valued for money. The popiah skin was great, it doesn't tear easily. It's simply a wrap in popiah skin.
