Good Japanese nosh?

The 3 different “don”s were as pictured on the menu, but seemed smaller in reality. That’s the reason why there were only female diners during lunch? 😂 Would I recommend this place? There was nothing to wow us, and nothing to fault either. Its location is probably the strongest selling point.

We picked tonkotsu soup variants and the ipad ordering system allowed us to opt for the curly yellow miso noodles instead-yay! Decent with the 50% eatigo app discount (selected timings).

We went with an open mind to try Mikawa - the restaurant was literally empty for lunch yesterday (Sat). Upon hearing mention of Burpple and the “Chirashi don” (“save ~$17” stated on the Burpple app) the service crew denied this and pointed to their “other outlet”, and stated that Burpple was wrong! They said many others had asked too?! Their Chirashi don eligible for the Burpple offer would cost $38++. No matter, we had the $16++ ramen from the a la carte menu —- as we were told that NO lunch set menus at all were applicable for the Burpple privilege —- but even these pricey $16 a la carte noodles came soft (overcooked) for all of us and the soup was lacklustre. We could only comfort ourselves with the discount, but that could not make up for everything...
