Chinese Eateries
My virgin attempt doing the udon at Wok Hey where there are outlets blossoming all over Singapore. I have to say the Chilli does pack a punch and it resembles LaoGanMa with all that Chilli bits, really flavourful. This takeaway box resembles the Chinese takeaways that are pretty popular in the West so I have to say it’s pretty interesting since we don’t see this that much in Singapore.

I read so much about the lobster noodle at Mian Jia and was stoked to give it a shot! The broth was rich and savoury. However, it’s pretty expensive for a bowl of noodles, but what to do it’s lobster after all.
The soups were the clear winner for us, especially this king prawn dumpling in superior broth. It’s obvious that these took many hours of gentle boiling to bring out all those amazing flavours. I love how fat each dumpling was, enveloped in such soft and smooth skin. Highly recommend!

This was $48, really expensive when it’s 1/3 a slab. I guess we were paying for the ambience or perhaps the time taken to cook the ribs till it was tender enough to fall off the bone. However, I can’t put a finger to the flavours of the rice, it didn’t sit with me even though the ribs itself was amazing.
This $8 meal packs a punch! The crunchiness of the peanuts, the saltiness of the salted veggies, the chewiness of the green beans and the tinge of sweetness to the Lei Cha (Thunder Tea) was just perfect. Really enjoyed the burst of flavours in every bite that I took! This is nestled within one of the open Hawker centres at the ground level of People’s Park Centre
My sisters were raving about this calamansi palette cleanser. True to their words, I thoroughly enjoyed the tanginess of this slushie after a fulfilling meal of hotpot
One sip of this thick broth, you can tell that this was painstakingly stewed for a long time. Love that the prawns and ribs were huge and fresh! Such a wonderful dinner
