Pasta was average - not the best but acceptable. The sauce was not savoury, but on the lighter side. Prawns were peeled and deveined.
The fish and chips was delicious. The highlight was the fish (seabass)! It tasted fresh and crispy, and thankfully wasn’t covered with too much batter.
Place is located approx 6-8 mins walk from Jurong East MRT. Its a small place so indoor seating is limited and the gap between each table is quite narrow. However, there are some seats outdoor (sheltered) as well.
Imagine finishing a meal that leaves you with withdrawal syndrome that you decide to return for another round, within a week. This plate of crabmeat pasta at rookery is capable of that (and I really went back) A tasty plate of pasta filled with a generous amount of crabmeat is definitely worth a visit, or even a revisit! The pork cheek pasta was equally good, the pasta sauce was slightly citrusy that would definitely whet your appetite.
The only downside imo, is that this place is a little dark and echoey so it may be not be the most ideal place for having long chats.
Located inside 100am mall, near the entrance, Morettino is a spacious cafe with many seats.
Ordered their seafood pasta and carbonara. Their seafood pasta looked appetizing when it came and true enough, the prawns tasted very fresh. The sauce was slightly acidic, but it made the dish tastier.
The carbonara wasn’t the usual cream-based pasta served in most places, which is good as the taste wasn’t overwhelmingly rich.
Both of the pastas were firm, yet chewy!
Located in a peaceful and spacious mall which makes it a conducive place for chats/catch-up sessions.
The duck pizza was filling and flavourful. The crust was thick and wasn’t too dry. However, the chips on the pizza wasn’t as crispy as I had expected it to be, otherwise it would have tasted even better.
The mushroom ravioli is a simple and humble dish, with mushrooms enveloped in pasta dough. The dish is then topped with garlic sauce, where the taste of garlic is not overpowering. However, you could use still some mint after the meal to freshen up your breath :)
