(Part 2 of 2)
Protein: Chicken
Toppings: Cherry Tomatoes, Egg, Onion, Egg Mayo
Main: Couscous
Base: Romaine Lettuce
Dressing: Mentaiko
On my second visit, they offered a baby spinach wrap as well. There wasn't a discernible difference in taste though. Possibly due to my higher expectations I got from my previous visit, the wrap this time was pretty underwhelming. The mentaiko sauce was far too subtle that it was overwhelmed by the egg mayo. The egg mayo itself, whilst it did satisfy my Japanese 7-Eleven Egg Mayo Sandwich craving, may not have been the best idea as it was cold and made the wrap lukewarm pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I could hardly tell that there was chicken in the wrap as it offered no value in both texture and taste. Overall, this was far more average than the previous one so do choose your ingredients and dressing wisely!

(Part 1 of 2)
Protein: Beef
Toppings: Tomatoes, Egg, Onions, Chickpeas
Main: Couscous
Base: Romaine Lettuce
Dressing: Wasabi Shoyu
Their not kidding with their Wasabi Shoyu sauce. Every bite hits me right away, leaving me on the verge of tears. It certainly steals the limelight from the rest of the wrap but I'm glad that it was paired with their sukiyaki-style beef which offered a similarly strong burst of flavours, similar to the ones you'll find in a gyudon - soaked and I'm not kidding, dripping with mirin and soy sauce. Their wrap had a great flour / doughy taste and was just thick and firm enough to hold up all the juices from the beef and the dressing, making that last bite akin to ripping into a huge delicious baby diaper. Truly satisfying. :)

According to 8days, https://www.8days.sg/eatanddrink/restaurantreviews/mad-about-salmon-pink-fish-is-the-healthy-fast-food-joint-for-11550142, apart from their 6 outlets across Norway, this outlet is their 'first overseas outpost'. Pink Fish is focused on sustainability, from their sustainably sourced salmon to their biodegradable cutleries. Naturally, this increases the price of their food. The medium poke bowl I ordered, which came with 100g of salmon, hence came up to $14.90 + $1 to change the rice to quinoa. Other condiments including soy sauce, sriracha, ketchup, and a delicious slightly fishy tasting sambal sauce are provided at the self-service counter as well.
Peruvian Poke Bowl, Medium with Quinoa ($15.90)
This is their limited edition bowl for the month (I heard that their limited edition bowls run across 2 months whereby cod fish was served previously). The selling point for this bowl would be their jalapenos sauce which came in a greenish hue that would made you think it was made out of blended vegetables. Upon tasting it though, both my friend and I were blown away by the flavour. It's a mixture of 6 different ingredients including apple cider, miso and jalapenos, the rest of which is kept secret. Their spiciest sauce to date, I felt that it was just the right amount of spice and it was so good that when the staff kindly offered to refill it, I readily said yes. The chunks of salmon were thick and had a good layer of fat, making it very satisfying to sink my teeth into. Cucumbers, onions and diced carrots made up the rest of the dish and while this may sound bland, the quinoa had some sort of spicy mayo and soya sauce within as well. Just be sure to mix the bowl really well though as the bottom of my bowl was far too saltish due to my ignorance of the generous serving of soya sauce embedded within. Overall, it was surprisingly flavourful and satisfying. If not for the price, I would definitely go for the Large in future.

Note: SMU students and staff enjoy $1 off all bowls
Smoked salmon paired well with the pickled vegetables given which were surprisingly not overly sour/saltish. This may be the first time I actually enjoyed eating the pickled vegetable. However, I felt that there could be more mentaiko given, though I guess this in itself makes the bowl healthier? (But less satisfying...)
Came with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and an onsen egg. The vegetables really helped to make the dish feel lighter and to reset your palate for another bite of the smoked salmon
Overall, tastes healthy and served with an adequate portion of rice. They've distinguished their mentaiko salmon bowl from other stalls by offering smoked salmon. However, if I wanted a satisfying and big slab of salmon drenched in creamy mentaiko sauce, I'll probably go to Big Bowls Project at Amoy Street instead. If you're a big eater, you can always add an extra base for $1.50 or additional protein at their respective prices.

2 scoops of Poke + 4 Add-ons
Salad + Original Salmon + Spicy Tuna + Chuka Wakame (Seasoned sesame seaweed) + Cherry Tomatoes + Flying Fish Roe + Roasted pumpkin
- Added a slice of lime for garnish
Wow, as a spice lover, I love their spicy seasoning as it was very direct and will definitely satisfy your spicy craving.
The entire dish is very cold and refreshing, tastes very fresh without any fishiness
Thick cubes of fresh salmon and tuna
The chuka wakame and the roasted pumpkin's natural sweetness provides a nice sweet contrast to the savoury fish. Even the cherry tomatoes provided were very juicy and refreshing.
Overall, all their items tasted very delicious on their own and even better together.
