Despite being a steakhouse, I still miss their bread 🙂

IMO, Wooloo Mooloo serves the best bread that I’ve ever had; it has fried scallions and sea salt on it! But, of course, why come to a steakhouse if I’m not here to eat their steak?

The steak tastes good, but what is lacking are some sides, and you have to top up for them, which makes the plate look plain. It only has a few salad vegetables placed on it with the steak.

Overall, it was a good experience, but I think it would be more worth it to visit during lunch hour as they have some lunch promotions.

We celebrated J’s birthday there, but they did not sing the birthday song as steakhouses usually do. However, they did serve cake for the birthday boy 😌

This is for the date night or date lunch that you have been waiting for.

We celebrated our colleague's birthday and opted for the set lunch at $34++ per person, which includes these three items:

1. Starter - Burrata Di Puglia
2. Main - Steak Frites - Striploin 250g (with a $6 top-up)
3. Dessert of the day OR coffee//tea

In my personal opinion, the top-up for the steak frites might not be necessary, as it didn't stand out compared to other options like pasta or sea bass.

However, if you're a cheese lover, do not miss their Truffle & Honey Baked Half Camembert. It's a sharing portion that combines the richness of cheese with the exquisite truffle flavor and a hint of sweetness.

For those who appreciate bone marrow, this place serves one of the best I've ever tried. Their roasted bone marrow is generously portioned and practically melts in your mouth. It's a true delight!

Everyone who watches Hell’s Kitchen will probably want to know how beef wellington tastes like, that includes me obviously.

Babe knew that I wanted to visit @bskitchen since ages, he made a reservation on my birthday for a taste of hell.

The ambiance of bread street kitchen is on point, with the complimentary birthday cake. Beef Wellington would need a 40mins waiting time, and they do serve some bread for appetizer so snack away, but don’t eat too much as you might be way.too.full for the main course.

My first impression of beef wellington is that it is a little dry (without the sauce), and the pastry is delicious. The red wine jus is necessary to make the whole beef wellington to taste good, as both the beef and pastry will soak up the red wine jus and give a refreshing taste.

Other than the waiting time being rather long, I still highly recommend it! While my babe had roasted black cod which is also really soft and fresh! Pair them with their sweet wine,2018 Moscato d’Asti, Sori dei Fiori, Piedmont, Italy, making the whole birthday celebration sweeter.

If you would like to spend the early afternoon with your better half, with scenery, then @fennelcafe is for you! 💕

If I’m not mistaken, having reservations with the cafe, allows you to have free shuttle service and flower dome entrance, so you could just make a reservation at this cafe if there is any flower dome season that attracts you.

While, for the food-wise, it is quite mediocre for me, it’s definitely edible, but it didn’t wow me. What wow me is how small the flat white was at the price of $6 😂

We made reservations before 1pm, which is their lunch menu, and out of the two dishes, I would still go with their toasted leg ham panini. As it has the solid cheese taste and personally I do love their pickled vegetables.

As for their Tagliatelle alla bolognese with aged parmesan, the flavour is really strong despite the pasta doesn’t have much sauce, but it is still moisturized.

I just realised that Merci Marcel’s location has slightly different menu as well! And a hearty dinner of marcel cheese (one), Ravioles de Royans and beef burger (which they serve during the lunch menu as well).

I totally love eating cheese with bread, and pair it with red or white wine. While their beef burger, you could choose the doneness and medium is the best to go. But I could barely finish one burger on my own.

Lastly, Ravioles de Royans is now my favourite French mini dumpling but I would recommend sharing it because it is quite thick and you would need to eat it fast!

The main dishes, we ordered three mains to share:
45 Days Dry- Age Bone in Ribeye (600gm) $85, Angus Tenderloin (Australian) $44 and Spanish Octopus Leg $34.

Both the steaks are amazing and the steak is very well cooked, but the spanish octopus leg was rather a disappointment. The spanish octopus leg doesn't have those thick and juicy huge chunk of ocotopus leg (intact), but rather they're cut and it taste and look like the chinese zi char dish instead.

I really enjoy these two appetizer dishes: Burrata Caprese Salad (SGD$15) and Salted Crab Cake ($18). If you're going with a small group and need to decide either appetizer, I would go with the Burrata Caprese Salad as it is refreshing and I have to say, I'm not someone who usually eat my greens 😅

tipplingclub is a casual fine dining concept, and I love how I could finally dress down for a fine dining meal.

Despite us only ordering 3 dishes course, there are tons of appetizers and desserts where we are way satisfied!

Personally, I love this smoked and charred peppers out of all the appetizers as we use a tweezer to enjoy our dish which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with the soya and wasabi sauce

Personally, I felt that the jam is a little overpowered the taste of the Duck Rillette but the crispy sourdough is so good, and this starter definitely makes you crave to eat more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
