Decadent Dessert
Original and Matcha Burnt cheesecake by KeongSiakBakery is the best Burnt cheesecake around. Just the right amount of char cream and sweetness it hits the spot in this depressing time of CoVid virus
Although these two flavours didnāt practice social distancing I think we wont complain this time
In the quaint town of Toowoomba this kick-ass turkish restaurant serves really good food and a great authentic Turkish Delight
A creamy base of rice pudding supports milky smooth vanilla ice cream infused with Turkish delight jubejubes with a decorative crown of cotton candy.. served looking like a princess
We were mesmerised lock stock and barrel and enjoyed this tremendously
If youāre ever in Toowoomba make a beeline for this restaurant and have one of the best Turkish cuisines around
My first date with @artichokes date pudding left me happy and wanting to meet up again. Sweet sticky nutty and topped with umami coffee jelly it was consumed by the four of us in a blink of an eye. Waitstaff was great and we caught a glimpse of Bjorn Shen through the windows of his new smalls pizza which was really cutely small and cosy.
Mrs Kuehs kueh salat made an appearance at dinner today. I love that the ratio of kaya to pulut was more than 1 and the kueh was delicious, reminiscent of chalk farms rendition. My personal preference is a softer sweeter wobblier version like bangawan solos but this was good enough to be finished within a few minutes š
Throwback to when this was the craze during my trip to BKK. Delicate, wobbly and cleantasting this cute blob matched perfectly with the soybean powder, crushed sesame and caramelised sugar. A light delightful dessert to end a thai food binge day
Aussies really make great desserts which is right up my alley. Featured here is Troppo Cafeās polenta cake and lemon yoghurt bund cake both moist rich and served with fresh cream to add to the pleasure.
$8 and around 200 worth-it calories a piece
Havenāt been able to go to Kins for their much hyped burnt cheesecake so it was a must try when we saw this at Keong Siak Bakery. A very very well baked cheesecake, checked all boxes where taste sweetness and burnt bits came together.. only issue I couldnāt decide which was better!$7.50 fir original $8 for matcha
Decadent dark chocolate with expresso poured over for an indulgent dessert
Went for dessert post Autobus 1-1 protein lunch bowls which were very delicious (not featured cos too famished forgot to pic).
Foret Noir featured kirsch cherries with a dark chocolate ganache and the mont blancs chestnut puree had a generous dose of rum which made us excitedly finishing it with fast deft strokes. Notwithstanding the haze , brunch was a real breath of fresh airš
Como Cuisine is a lovely place.. beautifully decorated and having great service. Had the Rhubarb and Lychee trifle ..it had the right combination of tartness and sweetness to wakeup any sleeping tastebud. Rhubarb is quite hard to work with and this trifle was done to perfection. A close contender was the almond cake with raspberry coulis, rich in its almond sugee taste with the coulis that tasted like yummy concentrated ribena. Chairs were super comfortable too
Almost too pretty to eat but caved in and savoured every mouthful of this very decent cheesecake. Big street serves Malaysian cuisine with a twist and given the pricing and good service itās certainly worth a visit.
Quaint cafe next to Gelenggang Park..quiet now cos we came at 10.30am. Had their salmon grain bowl which had mushrooms sousvide egg quinoa and barley reminiscent of a bibimbap. Tasty and healthy worth the price at $18. Finished off with their flowy matcha lava cake with had the matcha kick without being too sweet. Coffee was decent too
