Sashimi not the freshest. Disappointed. Not impressed. Will not come back again.
Happy lunch at House of Happiness, Simpang Bedok.
16 hours slow cooked teriyaki pork jowl claypot rice with onsen egg, tobiko and ikura was hearty and broiled to perfection. The lor bak was soft and tender, not too salty yet a tad too oily. Bakchoy was served with fried garlic but too oily as well. Kudos to 3 kinds of chilli served but not spicy enough for me. Overall a more unique and good lunch.

The char siew was cooked medium rare.
So good I crave for fluffy Japanese rice to go with it!

This mind-blowing foie gras creme brulee was part of the Burple Beyond 1-for-1 7-course meal. It was so good that I don't bear to finish it until by 6th course before dessert. Highly recommend!

Very bad service although the place has nice ambience. Went at 4.05pm and service staff told us they are closed while sources on the Internet says its open the whole day till 10pm. Asked one of the service staff what are their actual opening hours but she was unsure and had to ask another staff to speak to me. Staff number 2 didn't understand my question in English and replied me in Chinese saying they are closed at 4pm and reopen at 5.30pm. So we sat outside the restaurant feeling disappointed. A while later, we saw a family entered and got themselves seats at the restaurant. We were looking at them while another service staff told us they were here just for drinks. Well, that's our purpose too but we weren't questioned at all. We entered the cafe anyway. The hot chocolate is a little too sweet for my liking but my friend's cuppocino is good.
