This place is a hidden gem 💎!
Ordered the En Signature Kara Miso Ramen ($6) & Bonito Chashu Ramen ($4) with additional egg ($0.50).
The Bonito Chashu Ramen came with noodles, Chashu, black fungus and spring onion. It was light on the palate and refreshing, but the Bonito taste was on-point; honestly worth every bit of that price. The texture of the noodles was fantastic as well. Added on an egg at $0.50 and it was wonderful as well.
For the Signature Kara Miso Ramen, the spiciness was a bit overpowering and I couldn’t taste the Miso much until I savoured the soup slowly in my mouth for a while. It wasn’t exactly spicy over the top though. Soup was nonetheless flavourful, and the ingredients (noodles, egg, minced meat, Chashu, black fungus and spring onions) are just 💯 altogether.
This is probably my to-go ramen place in future especially for that price point!
The Mazesoba With Deep Fried Chicken ($13.80) contains dry noodles, Char Siu, Bamboo shoots, seaweed, chives and fried chicken. The Bamboo shoot had a weird taste to it while the fried chicken was really salty. Not something I would order again.
The Mazesoba Nagoya Style ($12.80) contains spicy minced pork, soft boiled egg, seaweed and chives; when mixed together the ingredients really complimented one another. It gives off a similar vibe and taste to the Chinese Zha Jiang Mian and the noodles are really chewy. Would come back for this!
