'Japanese sweet roll filled with imported Japanese Tsubu-an (Chunky red bean paste)'
- Very thick and fragrant red bean within a soft fluffy bun
Surprisingly good, Very satisfying especially if you like red bean
Taste: 8.5/10

Very lively and friendly owner (Geri / Geraldine Tan) who welcomed me into the shop with a smile and very cheerful 'Welcome!' the moment I stepped in. I had a quick chat with her to find out more about this cafe which I had no prior knowledge of. At the end of it, I was thoroughly impressed and moved by her 'craziness' and passion in what she is doing. As with other reviews, I think this cafe is worth giving a try if you happen to be in the East for both its social cause (Providing people with disabilities with employment) and value-for-money eats.

The cafe specialises in Italian cuisine but they do serve Asian dishes as well such as Thai Red Curry and currently, a Wagyu Beef Rendang as well!

Chicken Quesadilla ($5, $4.50 without chicken)
- Not oily at all
- Cheesy, slightly spicy, and lots of tomato flavour
Overall, I love the portion size and is definitely a substantial snack or even, a light meal. However, I felt that the flavours were quite flat and could have used some sauce with stronger flavours such as honey mustard or a vinagrette. The cuisine will probably become less 'Italian' but perhaps some chili powder or black pepper would work as well?
Taste: 5/10
Price: 7.5/10
Overall: 6/10

Despite not really liking the quesadilla, would definitely come back to try more of their dishes which seem more popular!

Roti Mum @ IMM
Opening Hours
1000H - 2130H daily

Came here at around 1530H today and they were already all out on their Oat Buns ($1.40) which are only sold from Tues to Thurs :/
(At least I was wise enough to buy 2 of their signature Coffee Buns though...)

Note: Breads were brought back home and re-heated

Left: Chocolate Bun ($1.80)
- Can definitely taste the chocolate flavour but would have preferred it to have a stronger, richer taste (Putting darker chocolate would be great too)
- Bun is soft, slightly chewy and not overly buttery inside (Better when it is warmed up; But not crunchy as I had brought it home to eat)
- Perhaps a sprinkling of cocoa powder on top would have added additional depth of flavour?
Taste: 6/10

Right: Coffee Bun ($1.80)
- Strong notes of coffee
Definitely get this instead, probably the best coffee bun I've had. Sweetness from the coffee really complements the saltish buttery notes
Taste: 8/10 (Definitely must-get item if buying from here)

Overall, when their buns are not eaten fresh, the texture of the buns are unfortunately severely affected, becoming soft and chewy all-around instead of being crisp on the outside. Nevertheless, their coffee bun still delivers with its highly nostalgic flavour profile. Love that they put its nutritional information on their packaging as well.

Update 10/10/19:
Managed to get it (Their signature Coffee Bun of course) again today and am pleasantly surprised that they are still baking their breads at 2100H. When freshly baked, the crust is delightlyfully crisp and crunchy, enveloping a warm, buttery and fluffy bun, perfect for supper! Quite guilty for eating so late at night but seriously, WORTH the calories. Who needs cookies and milk when you can have roti mum and milk? :)

2 thick pancakes garnished with bits of pistachio, slightly saltish and really thick butterscotch sauce, fresh berries (Strawberries, Blueberries) and a side of maple syrup. A very lovely dish that was sweet and slightly tart. I think this paled in comparison to the bolder Candied Bacon & Grilled Cheese pancake. While I would have preferred more butterscotch sauce to balance the tartness of the fresh fruits, it is still a very enjoyable and definitely a lighter alternative to the other pancake option. Unfortunately, the pancakes here were similarly too dense and could have been fluffier.

Not crispy, more chewy as well.
Very moist, buttery and sinfully delicious but again, nothing spectacular. The one I had at Starbucks previously was crispier.

Not as crisp, chewy dense and hard. Almond notes could be stronger.
Overall, still delicious but nothing spectacular.

Pulled Pork Benedict ($14)
Two poached eggs, Hollandaise, Pinto bean salad, Romaine salad, Peri-peri sauce, Hokkaido brioche
- Chilled Peri-peri sauce was slightly spicy, very refreshing, light and citrusy
- Well-seasoned and tender pulled pork
- Pinto bean salad had a hint of lemon juice added and provided earthy notes to the dish
Overall, the thick, buttery and fluffy brioche was the perfect vessel to soak up all the juices from the egg and the pulled pork. The bread was slathered with a layer of sweet chili sauce as well, tying together the savoury eggs and pulled pork.
Taste: 9/10 (Very satisfying breakfast)

Dirty Chai Latte ($6)
Thin consistency, aromatic, spicy kick at the back of your throat, cinnamon fragrance, with coffee that was not bitter.
Taste: 8.5/10

Cinnamon Bun ($3.50)
Bread was soft and moist on the inside though it is denser than normal, it is also more buttery than a typical piece of bread, similar to a croissant. A really sweet and thick coating of icing sugar on its exterior though it is definitely not as cloying as the thick gooey brown sugar glazed sticky cinnamon buns. While I like how the icing sugar provided sweet notes to the rich buttery bun, I think the bun could do without it. Perhaps a light cream cheese frosting instead? More cinnamon filling would also be appreciated
Taste: 7/10

'Grilled beef patty, Cheese, Fresh Lettuce, Tomatoes and animal-style sauce (Adapted from Sethlui's review at https://sethlui.com/revelry-cafe-singapore/#ixzz5xaXl51AS, it is a sauce made with a mixture of condiments, including mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, etc)'

The salad was dusted with a bit of black pepper, and vinaigrette. Consists of baby spinach, lettuce, almond flakes, cherry tomatoes. The salad, which is usually an afterthought at other food establishments, was quite delicious though I would have preferred more dressing.
The waffle was very airy and fluffy, consistently so throughout my visits to the cafe. Beneath the top piece, was a layer of melted cheese which helped to provide a subtle saltish and creamy contrast to the beef patty. Meanwhile, the beef patty provided was very thick, moist and juicy with lots of flavour. Though I would have liked more cheese as it can get overwhelmed by the bold flavours of the beef, it was definitely one of the better cheeseburgers I've eaten and not just another 'instagrammable' dish.
Taste: 8.5/10 (Should give this a try)

- Very buttery, crunchy on the outside but quite hard and slightly chewy (Thankfullly it was not as chewy as the ones at Brotherbird Milk & Croissants)
- Soft, pillowy and moist on the inside
I love how they offered to warm up my croissant while I was ordering. However, this croissant was excessively moist and buttery that it was slightly off-putting. It could also have been much lighter, airier and fluffier on the inside with a more crisp and toasted exterior.
Price: 8.5/10
Taste: 4/10 (Didn't like the croissant)
Overall: 5/10

From Wiki, Means small/thin leaf/layer; A shell-shaped filled Italian pastry native to Campania, sometimes called a lobster tail in English
- 'Fresh Italian Ricotta, Orange confit'
The exterior was very crunchy just like the curry puff I had moments earlier. Unlike the curry puff though, the pastry shell was thicker, slightly harder and less oily/greasy. The filling inside was absolutely amazing as it was loaded with light, subtly sweet, cheesy ricotta and citrusy sweet orange. The acidity of the orange confit helped to balance out the rich buttery and cheesy notes of the pastry shell and the ricotta respectively.
Taste: 9.5/10

Parmesan Scallion Scone ($5)
- Thick, moist inside, not too dense or buttery
- Very strong and unique flavour with hints of ham
Love how this scone taste and this was one of the fluffier scones I've had (Though it can definitely be more fluffy). Not sure if I will pay $5 for it though.
Price: 6/10
Taste: 9/10
Overall: 7/10

Carrot Cake ($5)
- Very moist and not too dense
- Icing sugar at the top provided more sweetness to the subtly sweet cake but I don't think it was needed, seems like its just for aesthetics
- Though I love the moisture in the cake, it could have been more fragrant
Pretty average piece of carrot cake
Price: 5/10
Taste: 5/10
Overall: 5/10

Chai Latte ($5)
Came dusted with cinnamon which I love. The Chai Latte was very aromatic with strong notes of cinnamon and ginger. Great accompaniment to the rich chocolate tart.
