chinese 🥡😍
they ran out of the crispy pork buns and xiao long baos when we went, which was really such a pity :-( liu sha bao was delightful—liquidy with a strong salted egg taste. would also recommend the dumplings in spicy sauce and the porridge here. overall their food was quite good across the board, nothing to complain about.

heard that this place serves really good, if not the best mala in singapore and i can see why! the mala was really fragrant and tasty, yet not oily, and the sauce coated all the ingredients evenly. we got xiao la which was (personally) not spicy at all, but nonetheless tasty and full of flavour. there was a wide variety of ingredients and all were fresh.
one con is that at $3/100g, it can get a little pricey if you’re a big eater (we spent about $34 for two 😢)

the tofu pudding is delicate and soft, pretty much like beancurd but sans the sweet syrup. was a little skeptical about having beancurd with noodles but interestingly, this is a combination that works! once mixed together, the soft tofu paired really well with the noodles and meat, adding a different texture to the dish. finally, the mildly spicy chili oil, in the classic tradition of chinese noodles, tied the dish together.

pretty hearty, warm meal. soup was light and aromatic, with the various vegetables and chrysanthemum added. noodles were light and soaked up the broth well. the plethora of ingredients adds a lot of variety to the meal (particularly enjoyed the chicken, which was thick and tender) & adding in each ingredient myself made for an enjoyable dining experience. worth a try 😉

broth was thick and hearty, made with real shrimp paste. shrimp flavor was really strong which is great if you like shrimp. noodles and dumplings were pretty decent and complemented the broth well. pretty unique and satisfying bowl of noodles. 😊

a well-executed bowl of chinese la mian. noodles were well-cooked with just the right amount of firmness. i had the normal noodles which were a tad bit thin for my liking, should have opted for the thicker ones. the chili oil on the side is also really tasty and adds a nice kick to the broth. a good lunch.

had the beef la mian, shan xi cold noodles, meat bun and dumplings in spicy sauce. beef la mian was a nice, comforting bowl with a flavourful broth, definitely an easy favorite. the dumplings in spicy sauce were especially tasty; really liked the soft, thin dumpling skin encasing the meat. the chili oil deserves a shout out too! very fragrant with just the right amount of spice. 😍
overall, good, authentic chinese food done right. also really affordable (at $5 or less per dish), definitely worth another visit 😊

meat is really tender soft and well-marinated in sweet sauce. sesame seeds added a nice fragrance. worth an order!
their liu sha bao is also pretty good, with a really thick, flavour salted egg yolk filling. all the other dishes were also well-executed without being too salty/sweet, all classic quality chinese food. overall a really satisfying meal at the good trio. only gripe would be the long waiting time during a weekend dinner.
