Great waffles and ice cream but we couldn't redeem the 1 for 1 waffles deal. The counter said that it can only be redeemed in the day or something.. Well it wasn't stated anyway so just to note!
Passable, no charred taste which is what you'd expect from a charcoal grilled steak, feels like it was just fried on a not hot enough pan because there wasn't even that brown crust on it.. not an amazing cut either for rib eye, chewy and has a fair bit of tendon..
Salmon fared better..
The pork croquettes were not bad, had a mac nuggets seasoning feel.. fried cauliflower wings was also in the same batter ..ok lor.. calamari cigars was not bad on the salty side..
Service was average but servers don't know what they're serving so beware. They couldn't tell what drinks they served us nor the dishes when they're all fried lookin.
The pokebowl felt pretty healthy and clean. Seasoning was a little on the sour side.. for its 1 for 1 price line, totally worth it!
The place is located at a pretty quiet place at shaw. Food came out better than expected. The duck confit was a little too salty though . But it was pretty value for money:)
Interesting dishes. Each dish has a unique twist to it. Staff were also superbly friendly which makes the who experience great! Would be back to try the other dishes for sure. They also have their in house one for one promotions running..
Had the double toast and shared it with a friend.
Had the avocado and egg and smoked salmon toast.. tasted so so but would consider it pricy without burrple...
Also had their tea lattes though which was quite interesting in comparison..
It's a cool place to hang maybe just for a drink, and merchandise it carries for a greener earth...food is pretty limited!
Got to know about this place after seeing some friends posting about it and giving some raving comments. Was quite excited about it and had wanted to try it out and hoping to purchase their home brew soy sauce but I'd say the chicken noodles were pretty average, I'd rate it 3/5. I think i had the expectation that it will be flavourful like the braised chicken that I am used to having, but it fell short. Staff were pretty friendly though :)
Another burrple 1-1 deal.
We tried both the lapsang souchong and yokeshire milk tea. They're both refreshing and not too sweet.. but somewhat lacking in the tea punch...
Very friendly owners though, would love to try the fruit shakes next.. :)
Cereal prawn pasta, super huge prawn, taste a little like Cze char with carbonara .. was not jerlat and pretty yummy..
The century egg pasta paled in comparison, the poached egg was sourish and the pasta lacked the oomph factor which I was hoping with having tried century egg sauce on tofu in Japanese restaurant!
