We really enjoyed this dish. The fried silken tofu is so soft, and gives way when your eager utensils reach in to cut a piece. The minced meat sauce is flavourful, and coats every chunk of tofu that you manage to lay your hands on. You best be quick because it won't be uneaten for long!

I'm a sucker for fried youtiao stuffed with prawn paste and dipped in sinful salad cream. Loved that they took the care to pack the salad cream and chicken floss separately, so the fried dough fritters remained crispy.

I usually order cereal prawns or salted egg sotong, so this was something different. Really enjoyed the crisp bite of the cereal flakes, and the light buttery flavour. The squid was tender and not overcooked at all (as squid so often is). Really well done.

A branch of the popular eatery at Sim Lim Square, this newly opened zichar store was crowded even on a weekday night.

The sweet and sour fish was well-executed! The sauce was sweet but not too sticky, and the outer batter crispy, all while the fish inside remained flaky and tender.

A seemingly simple dish that is too often massacred, the sambal kangkong here didn't disappoint. Flavour was good and, most importantly, they retained their crunchiness after being cooked at high heat. I did however detect a few small sand grains that led to a few crunchy bites.

I can see why their salted egg dishes are popular. The sauce is creamy and yolky, without the granular texture that sometimes accompanies. The batter is crispy but not overly thick. Yummy!

Requested for no chilli, and the chef was able to accommodate and cooked this version with salted fish instead. Love that they're able to retain the crunch of the kangkong, unlike many places that serve it overcooked.

A nice zichar we found in Pasir Ris Park. Very reasonable prices and delicious food. The blacl bean sauce was very flavourful and I was happy to see they used fish fillet chunks instead of really thinly sliced fish.

Was expecting this to be fried chicken in sweet-and-sour sauce/ sweet thai chilli sauce, but the sauce rather resembled chilli crab sauce! I was surprised and yet delighted. A yummy chilli crab chicken 😋
