Jap food š
Finally tried this after many recommendations from friends. Had rich soup ramen ($14.90) because I wasnt feeling very hungry, if not I would definitely go all in with the one that has all ingredients. The lobster broth was really rich and it goes well with the ramen and pork chashu.
I think this will be an especially good supper after drinks/clubbing at Clarke Quay!
Had a barachirashi don (Small $13.90+). The sashimi was fresh but the rice was a bit to the dry side. The portion of the don can be slightly more, given this price. My friends had the mentaiko salmon bowl (good and creamy) and the truffle gyu don (sauce is a bit too salty).
The environment and ambience is nice and cafe-like as Candour Coffee is operating at the same premise too. However, staff attitude is rude. He showed his frustration and attitude during our order at the cashier. He also sighed when we mentioned we are using Burpple Beyond.
We were charged service charge for this kind of attitude and basically everything else (water, utensils, sauce, find seats) was self service except taking of the food.
Food was okay but I will not come back because of the staff (or maybe heās the owner?).
Really like their dry ramen ($12.80) because the portion is generous and itās very flavourful. You can opt for free noodle upsize (1.5 times) and free rice at the end to mix with the ingredients when your noodles runs out.
The other two outlets are on Burpple Beyond but this is not. Guess itās a franchise; but they have stamp card accumulation to get free ramen and toppings in return.
Had the ala carte buffet. Good variety to choose from and sashimi is fresh. Food was served really fast and service is good. Restaurant environment was quite nice. End up paying $98 for 2 pax, not bad!
