We finally tried the platters at The Dark Gallery @FunanSG and I especially loved the Coffee and Chocolate Pairing one with both items made of 75% pure Tanzanian dark chocolate. The drink, with its slightly bitter coffee undertones, was the perfect complement for the rich dark chocolate brownie.🍫

So what started off as just an innocent Pokémon Raid at MacRitchie culminated into a full 3-hour hike across the nature reserve this afternoon. We entered along Upper Thomson Road at the east, went north-west through the Tree Top Walk, then across the MacRitchie Reservoir and exited along Lornie Road. And that was after a 2-way walk this morning through the Botanic Gardens (the Gallop Extension is up!). Perhaps we were subconsciously guilty of all the food we had been having over the weekend? 😏

Look at this beautiful dessert platter consisting of: Apom Bokwa Pisang Pengat (pancakes in banana sauce), Pulot Enti Kelapa (glutinous blue pea rice with coconut), Kueh Binga (tapioca cake), Kueh Kosui (gula melaka pudding-cake) and my favourite Durian Pengat (creamy durian puree)!

Available as part of the Vegan Tok Panjang set (S$48++/68++). To prepare this vegan set, the chefs also had to tweak the traditional recipes (e.g. vegans cannot take butter). Hard work indeed! .

Indeed, apart from the beautiful presentation, I love how the soft serve offered a refreshing mix of flavours - with the generous addition of fresh strawberries🍓, kiwifruit slices🥝, orange slices🍊, soft cake, aloe vera etc. I heard that the staff even flew in from Japan to personally train Watanabe Coffee's staff on how to create this true to its original form and consistently!

This happened because of the rare day we went to @JewelChangiAirport early and managed to get our hands on these coveted swiss rolls!
.
These rolls get sold out by mid-afternoon daily, even though each customer is only allowed to buy 1 roll each. Red velvet was sold out (because of the red-cake-white-cream national colours? 🇸🇬), but thank goodness our favourite 2 flavours were still available. Best eaten right on that day, super soft and fresh. 😉

Dark chocolate sorbet with intensely strong coffee, flanked by brownie chunks and chocolate streusels. What could possibly go wrong? 😉

So glad we finally tried this dessert/ coffee bar at Cluny Court - even if it meant gaining back those calories burnt during our exercise at Botanic Garden.

This cold dessert reminds me of the steamed milk curd that I always have when I am in Hong Kong. So smooth and silky! Enjoy the warm spicy aroma as the ginger syrup is poured into the dessert. 😋

Originating from Kagawa Perfecture in the Southern part of Japan, these soft serves were traditionally served at wedding parties for everyone to celebrate during the joyous occasion.
.
This one from Watanabe Coffee, made from Hokkaido milk, was milky yet surprisingly refreshing. Also known as a "good luck soft serve", it was once said that dreams will come true after eating this oiri soft serve🍦. I think I should have this just before buying Toto. Haha! 😆

Visited Jewel Changi again over the weekend and it just seemed a little too crowded this time! The top floor was warm too with the afternoon sun coming in, creating a somewhat greenhouse effect.
.
On such days, an ice cream treat 🍦 is so refreshing! This was a nice mix of both milk and cheese in this ice cream. Neither flavours overpowered each other and it overall did not give a very heavy or "jelat" taste. Affordable and definitely worth trying.
