🍵 Daizu’s newly released Fuji Kori Amann includes a piping hot Kouign Amann served with a scoop of chilled vanilla ice cream, that is topped with fine matcha powder and crushed pistachio. Hands-down, my favourite dessert from Daizu. The pastry was flaky and its exterior remained crispy even after dipping it into the ice cream, which complimented it very well. The matcha flavour was not very distinct, hence we asked for more matcha powder (both for the taste and the photo), and the crushed pistachio added an earthy, nutty taste to it. Overall, a really great dessert to end a satisfying meal!
The Adora was made using apricot confit, fluffy almond sponge, almond mousse, Amaretto and topped with crunchy almond flakes and glazed apricots. Simple, light and slightly citrusy, this is one you won’t want to miss out on if you have some room left after a meal.
The Strawberry Tart had a delicate tart base filled with what seems to be baked pistachio pastry and strawberry jam. It was then topped with custard cream, Japanese Chitose strawberries, caramelised pistachio and soft pistachio cream. The pistachio taste was prominent but not too overpowering, and paired well with the sweet strawberries and custard cream. ⠀
Flaky, buttery puff pastry encasing smooth, creamy custard and topped with a layer of fresh cream and berries which provides a refreshing sourness to tone down the sweetness of the crème pâtissière. This dessert is light, but still provides a high level satisfaction, especially when paired with their fragrant teas.
I preferred this over the brown sugar boba tiramisu. Mainly because I like a more fragrant floral flavour and the lychee on top gave a burst of sweetness to it.
I love the soft texture of the tiramisu, definitely can taste the brown sugar. Would’ve loved a little more sponge in it. I felt that it might be slightly overpriced, but I enjoyed it overall.
These Premium Pancakes are only sold 3 times a day with 30 servings each! Everything you’d want in a soufflé pancakes: fluffy, jiggly, topped with butter, maple syrup and silky homemade whipped cream on the side.
These pancakes cost $17.50, and has a 20-25min waiting time, but definitely worth the wait.
The soufflé pancakes at @hoshinocoffeesg represents that. Warm fluffy pancakes drizzled with matcha sauce and topped with a scoop of matcha ice cream. When you cut the pancake with the knife, it sinks and bounces right back up. That’s what I call a perfect soufflé. They also have the Pancake Soufflé Style with Apple (shown in the next picture) [$17.80] which is just as good. Which would you choose? Matcha 🍵 or Apple 🍎?

It’s either too much syrup or I’m eating chunks of tasteless ice. A friend suggested to visit @omaspoon and it’s so good. 🥛 The milk shaved ice was so tasty! We ordered the Green Mountain Bingsu. 🍵 It tasted more of cookies and cream than matcha, but it’s still delicious. If you want a more matcha tasting bingsu, go for their Green Tea Bingsu. No regrets! 🤤
