I love the dry beef version the most because I love the homemade chilli that goes with it. The beef was very flavourful and tender and I absolutely love the soup too! Overall, my comfort food all day, everyday ♥️

Had a good dinner catch up session w dear @gr.x at @plentyfullsg last night! Ordered the pork chop and I must say that it’s one of the cleanest meals I ever had, and it’s a good thing! I walked away feeling just enough - a feeling that I wasn’t accustomed to with all the greasy food I had before. I love the charred flavour of the pork chop, but wished it could have been softer tho. And the real kicker and surprise for me was the bell peppers confit. I’m not a fan of bell peppers but this (the red dish on top of the pork chop) was smthg that I could eat again and again and again! It was soft and juicy and didn’t have the siap siap taste I imagine from a bell pepper. It also goes very well w e pork chop and potato purée, and I just felt so happy eating it ♥️

This was by far one of the best meals I had for a while and it was FREE! I had really low expectations for the inclusive restaurants on a cruise, especially having had the buffet for the first meal(it was underwhelming). So imagine how i was totally, completely, and utterly mind blown 🤯 by how tasty the food was at the Chinese restaurant. And they were so generous with their servings too! My parents and I had a really good dinner ♥️ Missing the food onboard now as i am typing this. 😍

After much fanfare, I finally managed to wake up early to meet @bunglesome for a mac bkf! Don’t judge, but it was my first time eating MacGriddles and it was..... n’t as fantastic as I had expected. The buns were a big too soaked with maple syrup for my liking and i still prefer sausage McMuffin over this. 😳 Think I’m one of the few who felt this way about McGriddles. Hurhur.

I remember the first time I had HaiDiLao was back in 2011 in Shanghai. It was the most happening hotpot during that period because they had just opened and good service was a novel idea back then too - typical Chinese restaurants servers would ask you to get your own stuff or just plain rude to the point where we wldn’t know to laugh or to cry.

But I have digressed. So the first time I had HDL was actually a home delivery because the queue in the restaurant was crazy long. It was 元宵 and my shanghai gang decided to gather to celebrate and have steamboat. I remember being very impressed with HDL delivery service because they provided EVERYTHING - from the pot to table cloth to the aprons to gloves to even a dustbin! And they will come back a few hours later to clear everything away.

So I was delighted when HDL came to SG a few years after I’m back. The details to service is still the same and the quality of food still good. To me, HDL is synonymous to happy gatherings with friends where we would leave the restaurant feeling warm, contented, and full in our souls and bellies 😍♥️✨

It has been a while since I ate at @ninethirty_sg. Went back for the one egg soup and was so disappointed that they took it off the menu. Ordered the grilled pork chop and it was still the most delicious pork chop I ever had! The meat was soft and flavourful; and it was bites after bites of delight! Was so sad to finish it though 😝

Famed for their lobster roll, @rainbowng and I were pleasantly surprised that they serve mouthwatering burgers as well!

We went there hoping to get a 1-for-1 deal but thankfully it fell through else we will not be able to taste this gooey oozy burger which was a delight bite after bite. 😍

The bun was soft and buttery. My beef medium rare perfect. The shrooms and cheese and bacon were the perfect complements 😍

This also made me miss the porterhouse I had in NYC last year 😭 can't compare I know but that was one amazing steak + memory. I love how food allows us to relive experiences again from the past.

We queued for 3 hours (620pm to 915pm) for this bowl of unagi don. It was the craziest thing that any of us ever did. But they did it because they love me. Just because I have always been wanting to try it for the longest time. And they are willing to do crazy stupid things for me just so they can fulfil my heart's desires. These friends are the best friends that anyone could ask for. They are really God-sent angels in my life ❤️ Thank you my dear goldies for your love and friendship all these years ❤️

About the food. We have concluded that it would taste mind-blowingly awesome had we only queued for 30 minutes. For a 3-hour wait, it just tasted good at best. Will only dabao in future. At least the wait time is only 15-30 mins!
