We ordered 2 mains here at Burn, and we both felt that they were overall not great. The portions were small as well. Though the pork belly was soft and tender, it carried a tangy sauce which wasn’t all that complimentary. The cous cous which accompanied the pork belly was a tad salty as well. The charcoal steak was tasty but not the most tender. All in all, I don’t think that we would be returning here and even less so without the 1-1 deal.
One of the favourites here as well, and rightly so!! Super fluffy pancakes which went really well with the vanilla cream which was very light. Would have this again without a doubt if I’m back here.
Apparently the fish & chips is a hot favourite at habitat so we ordered a dory ($12.90). We were pleasantly surprised by the generous servings! Super crispy on the outside and decently fresh on the inside. Would recommend for the value and taste!
Mr Bubbles with gula melaka 16oz ($5) was quite a disappointment. Nothing special at all, just your average bubble tea.
Took a few wrong turns before finding this place. It was super empty for a weekday lunch afternoon! The staff were warm and friendly. Ordered tacos - I got cajun chicken & pulled beef, while my friend got the salted egg prawn. Both of us enjoyed our options, but word of caution to let them know if you’re unable to take spicy food as the sauce can get quite hot! Stuffings are pretty generous. Overall, may return if I’m in the area for a quick mexican fix.
We chose the Lobster Bisque for starters which was disappointing as it was too watery and salty.
The 2 mains we got were the Barramundi and Wagyu Beef. Both were decent but nothing spectacular.
Ended off with a chocolate tart and ice cream which was alright as well. Overall, quite disappointing. Not sure if the steak would have been a better choice.
