cafe fare 🙌🏻
salmon guacamole ($15) was served with two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and cherry tomatoes atop a thick slice of wheat bread. it’s a basic brunch dish but was executed pretty well! would say this is better than their pastas.
truffle fries ($9) were average but the portion was really huge, would be good to share among 4!
a pretty decent cafe with good ambience

was quite excited to visit alter ego but unfortunately was also quite disappointed :-( they had a really limited menu on the day we visited, mainly comprising poke bowls and pasta, not sure why this was the case.
anyways got the wasabi yuzu dragon, but sadly neither the wasabi nor the yuzu taste was prominent. seemed like a generic creamy sauce. ingredients were of decent quality, though wish there were more poke. at $17++, this is rather steep. ambience of the place was quite nice though.

enjoyed the sweet potato truffle fries. crispy on the outside yet soft and sweet on the inside, these were the perfect side dish. truffle flavour is also very prominent and topping is generous. pretty addictive and great for sharing amongst friends!

a pretty good burger, patty was thick and juicy, although it was a tad bit too tough. cheese was nice and sharp and complemented the meat well. best part would probably be the buns — buttered and toasted, these buns are soft & fluffy. definitely one of the best burger buns around 👍🏻
ps. the fried chicken burger is very good as well; perhaps even better, actually!

salmon with shimeji mushrooms, an egg and yoghurt sauce. the slab of salmon was beautifully done, tender and sweet, cooked just right. mushrooms were also a tasty, flavourful addition to the dish. was not a fan of the yoghurt sauce though, didn’t feel like the sourness complemented the dish well.
overall a decent dish, but at $18++, it might be a bit pricey. although the cafe environment is really lovely and spacious, good for catching up with friends. will be back! ✨

back at sunday folks and they didn’t disappoint! 😍 tried all 4 of their regular soft serve flavors. i like the earl grey lavender the best, it’s really light and fragrant with a very pronounced earl grey flavour (so those who aren’t a fan of earl grey may not enjoy this).
the sea salt gula melaka was quite unique with a strong salty-sweet flavour (very enjoyable too) while the dark chocolate was good, quality chocolate (though nothing special). the light and fluffy marshmallows that came with the dark chocolate deserve a special mention too. the roasted pistachio soft serve was not bad too.
overall, quality soft serve with very robust flavours. the waffles were also nicely done, crispy on the edges and soft inside. presentation was beautiful as well. be sure to eat your soft serve quickly though as it does melt quickly! ✨

buttermilk fried chicken was really tender and flavorful without being too greasy. this was really juicy; probably one of the better wings around.
$14.50 | 8/10 🌟
mushroom bacon carbonara was decent, fairly standard but nonetheless enjoyable. cream wasn’t too heavy and portion of bacon was substantial. egg yolk was a welcome addition to the dish.
$19 | 7/10 🌟
waffles were soft and fluffy with crisp edges, definitely one of the better waffles I’ve had. berries and peanut butter provided a nice contrast of sweet and salty. portion of berries was pretty generous and biscuit crumbs added a nice crunch to the dish.
ice cream was decent, couldn’t really tell what flavour it was but was pretty pleasant. 🌈
overall a dish with rather strong sweet and salty flavors, so good for those who enjoy heavy flavors!

the waffle was really nice, thick and fluffy with crisp edges; this place does their waffles really well! ice cream was decent, early grey flavour was not very pronounced but otherwise all’s fine. a generous portion of strawberries and caramel sauce drizzled across. try to eat the ice cream quickly or else it will melt onto the waffle and make it soggy 🙁
worth an order. share this with a friend!

this is one of my favorite cafe dishes ever! a little pricey but it’s so good 🙌🏻
the shredded duck was really tender and flavorful and the amount of duck was really generous. it was served on a bed of rosti, which was crispy and delicious, and accompanied by well-poached eggs ✨
only gripe is that the wait for a table can be long and the wait for food even longer, especially during weekend brunch times, as it’s a pretty popular place!
interior is beautiful, white and minimalistic
