One of the most famous Nasi Padang joint that’ll have a long queue outside even after all these years!
Always enjoy my time and meal at Hjh Maimunah Restaurant. It won’t be the cheapest store you have Nasi Padang at, but it sure will be one of the nicest for sure! :)
Personal favorites: Grilled Pomfret with Sambal Kicap, Rendang Beef and Sambal Eggplant. Mouth’s watering as I’m typing this haha!
Fish slices fried all the way to a crisp, would like some form of juiciness retained in the fishes. Drizzled with thai chilli sauce all over, topped with sliced onions. Nothing fancy about it, definitely other better choices are available at Enaq! :)
Indian-style, chicken version of the evergreen and classic mutton chop. Buns were nicely buttered and crispy on the outside, delicious when dipped into the sauce.
Sauce is very rich as compared to the Tampines Al-Azhar version, would prefer it a little sweeter like the latter. Chicken pieces seem re-fried, a little hard and chewy for the jaws. Cucumbers and tomatoes were sliced wayyy too thickly.
Worth a try still most definitely! :)
Best eaten right when they serve, the salted egg filling just oozes out and drips down your hands and to your plate. One of the highlights and the main reason why I’ll return to Enaq, and at a very good price too! :)
