Hotpots, Steamboat Etc
First time trying Xiao Long Kan. The mala is so potent but shiok! The smells lingers on forever.... The pork bone broth is also very gao and if you love soup, you'll enjoy it. The variety of food is good and fresh. Price based on our per pax spending is about the same as BIAP and slightly cheaper than HDL.
But the soup base is better though service cannot fight HDL.
Their sauce is pretty good but note that they charge for every can of sesame oil you open.
Discovered their chicken pumpkin soup which is creamy from chicken collagen but with a tinge of sweetness from the pumpkin.
Love their cumin chicken! Must try!
Great variety of food, soup,. Good service.
Food is fresh, reservations encouraged. Love the fish and prawn paste!
We paid about $30 per pax.
One of the most expensive Steamboat places in Singapore. The variety of meat and seafood is good.
More soup base choices but still find it a little too expensive.
Great service as usual.
First time here for their $9.90 hotpot! Both the chicken and mala soup are of good quality and doesn't leave you thirsty like some msg soup does. The ingredients served were also fresh and an extremely generous portion for $9.90++
Free sauce before 4pm on weekdays!
Special mention for the chewy handmade noodles 🍜
For the price, the quality is definitely worth it.
We waited 25 mins for a table during weekday lunch.
Will definitely be back!
Freshly cut shabu shabu meat, just look at how pretty they are!
We enjoyed our first visit to Gyu Jin though eating Hotpot under 50 Mins can be a challenge.
Love that the meat is freshly cut, you can taste the difference. It is a lot more tender and easy to eat.
Loving the pork bone broth at Crystal Jade PS. The broth was very silky and flavour pack. The Mala is decent too. It's buffet style steamboat and while the only selection of meat is slice pork, beef and chicken, and abt 600g of prawns, they do have prawn, pork, squid and chicken paste which is super yummy.
Crystal Jade lunchtime steamboat. The meat looks thinly slices but was actually quite decent when cooked.
Inclusive of gst, it is $23.75.
Tried #chickepot for the first time and feeling kinda cheated lol. 😢

Important info must put up front - Do Not, I repeat, Do Not order the spicy prawn pot. There were like 5 pieces of very small prawns and below is a pile of French fries soaked in spicy soup broth. 🤔

Chicken Pot is bunch of ingredient in a pot with broth. We ordered the couple set which was two broth pot - 1 chicken and 1 spicy prawn with two drinks for $33.90++. After adding the appetiser and wet tissues and what not, we paid a total of $47.70 for lunch which is quite pricey considering the amount of food served.

The food itself is tasty but my friend felt both broth were equally heavy and a little OTT. Perhaps we should have ordered a medium pot and added on ala carte items.

Don't see myself returning anytime soon.

Spicy shrimps
No not order. 5 tiny prawns with shell. Painstakingly peeling it off and the shell was stuck tightly to the meat. Below is a stack of French fries soaked in spicy broth. Broth taste is average.
