Meatless Mondays πŸ₯¦

Documenting my eats for a recent movement I started on gg meatless once a day 😬

Always excited whenever a new menu is presented, you can always trust the guys from daily cut with a good selection for hearty healthy meals!

Base: Sweet potatoes
Protein: Tempeh
Supplements: Brussel sprouts, maple glazed root vegetables (yam, carrot, parsnip), egg whites
Topping: spicy chili crisps
Dressing: mint (vinaigrette base, light and refreshing with a mild sweetness)

First thing I checked was for the Brussel sprouts, thankfully it’s still on the menu! πŸ™ No more red quinoa for base option, replaced by bulgur. No more apricot honey and sesame tofu. 😭😭But there are some new protein options like tempeh (OH YES!) tilapia and salmon! Interesting supplement to note would be the maple glazed root vegetables compromising of yam, carrot & parsnip which was really yummy! Dried fruit and chopped scallions is now available as toppings. No more peri peri & mango habanero dressing, with new options like herbed aioli, mint and smoky romesco.

Standard elemen appetizer for starter. Choice of salad or soup for the 5 course.

My pick - Rojak salad. Probably the healthiest version of Rojak you can find!

For mains- Mushroom risotto with black truffle. Not your typical risotto where the grains are mushy and there is no cream used here. I like how this version has a lot more texture, especially with the use of forbidden grains!

Beverage- Coconut mint w butterfly pea flower. Interesting drink, very refreshing and thirst quenching.

Dessert- Chilled Purple Rice Porridge with Coconut Ice Cream. Essentially pulut hitam, definitely prefer coconut ice cream over the usual coconut milk!

Exciting and very satisfying vegan meal! No mock meat, deep fried dough, only real food! Wholesome menu inspired from both Asian and western cuisine.

Mushroom salad was earthy yet light. The pesto fettuccine was really enjoyable despite the mild basil flavor from the pesto. It comes with a generous amount of mushroom and pine nuts! Got the Apple kale juice to get my dose of super food! Ended the meal on a sweet note with the classic chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream
