Happy thanks to Burpple Beyond, which reminded me that this place has been on my Wishlist for way too long!
Pictured is their Peanut Butter & Jelly toast ($8), which placed me in a dilemma of finishing it quick or savoring it, both reasons being that it's TOTES YUMMY. It does not look the prettiest, but that sammich sure packs a punch! Crunchy on the outside as it's cornflake-crusted, and the spreads within were simply generous.
Being one of the few places in SG that serves this awesome toast combination, PBD should be proud of this masterpiece :)
Ecstatic was I when word spread that Isaac Toast will be having its first ever outlet in Singapore! Having tasted the hearty goodness of this tasty sandwich back in Korea, I had my expectations set when I paid the outlet a visit.
I ordered the Ham and Cheese toast ($4.50, ala carte), and it sure did not disappoint. It tasted almost exactly like the one I had in its place of origin! The thick toasts were slathered with their special sauce, holding the omelette (which had corn bits), ham and oozy cheese all together in one wholesome sammich! Plus points for the convenient and pretty packaging too :)
When I first had this Curry Potato Pau ($2.20), I was ecstatic that the dough seemed more than the filling (just the way I like it.. oh doughlove). However as I munched my way through the pau, I realized that the delicious filling needed the pau to complement it - making it a perfectly balanced hearty pau.
Love it when eaten piping hot from the steamer, but you can also choose to takeaway the paus as a snack in the later part of the day, or as breakfast for the next. Other flavours I've tried include Purple Sweet Potato, Banana Chocolate, and Yam.
Also, don't be fooled that its colorful appearance is due to food colourings! Just Dough prides itself for using natural ingredients for their paus - making the colours au naturel.
Tried and tested, satisfied and recommended :)
MUAHA NO these pigs were gone within minutes
