MealPal SG
[Non-MealPal price $9.90] original mealpal was supposed to come with brown rice but it ended up as a sushi rice version. I actually preferred the mild vinegar taste! I also liked this spicy salmon much more than the Avo salmon that I tried for mealpal #1/18, cos spicy 😊 still loving the crunchy texture of the wakame, and not loving the pineapple which is very dry. 4/5.
[Non-MealPal price $13.80++] Another option that I have not tried before at my regular spicy noodle haunt. The tempura was well fried and the prawns fresh. sauce was a bit too sweet for me so probably served on the side would be better. Udon was a nice change from ramen but can't be made as spicy, so I think I'll still stick to my usual four chilli level of ramen. 3.5/5.
[Non-MealPal price $9.90++] I think of this dry noodle like a noodle salad! Healthy.. ish? Dressing is served in a separate container so the noodles don't get soggy during takeout. Generous size of pork cutlet, well seasoned. spring roll fried fresh and still crispy when you get back to the office. Still one of my fave mealpals. 4.5/5.
[Non-MealPal price $11.50] a bit sad today because the staff packed my sandwich "standing up" so all the ingredients slid to one side. Otherwise Veggie Shroom as good as ever. They didn't have the curry pumpkin today so I ordered the roast pepper soup. A fulfilling vegetarian friendly meal. 4/5.
[Non-MealPal price $9.90] This fares better than the salmon poke with soba because spicy is my thing. Also the dressing seems more generous for the spicy salmon so there is some left over to spread over the soba, which tends to be a bit dry and plain. Smallish serving but at least there are carbs. 4/5.
[Non-MealPal price $13.80++] as a testament to how much I love beppu's soft bone pork ramen, I actually cancelled my Grain Traders' mealpal to have this. Have it at the shop for max enjoyment 😊 4.5/5
[Non-MealPal price $10.90++] Getting mealpal fatigue again, and as usual struggling to finish my subscription by the due date (too many lunch appts!) Folks collective is very close to my office to I thought I'd give it another chance. A disappointment as usual--shrimp paste fried rice was tasteless and the meat was tough and dry. 2/5.
[Non-MealPal price $13.80++] still one of my fave mealpals since i can customize the spiciness level of the ramen broth (they only make it when you get there to collect). Staff always friendly and you can even dine there if you want! I adore the braised pork and soft pork bone options on mealpal (the teriyaki Chix ramen tends to be quite dry but then I never liked chicken so maybe it's just me). 4.5/5.
[Non-MealPal price $9.90++] One of the best mealpal and I always choose this when it comes on the menu. Love the huge serving and tasty dressing for the dry noodle. Feels semi healthy too since the pork is grilled not fried. 4.5/5.
[Non-MealPal price $9.90] Another working lunch, another wrap. Wrap was already made this time because I collected it at a later slot, so couldn't ask them to leave out the lentils. Oh well! Still good, full of stuffing and no empty spaces in the wrap. 4/5.
[Non-MealPal price $13.5++] Wrap skin was very chewy and tough compared to the fluffy wrap I had from Happy Salad for mealpal #7/18. This wrap also felt rather empty (too little stuffing / too much skin). The lamb meatball was rather dry and not enough garlic dressing. Fries (not pictured) were okay. 3/5.
[Non-MealPal price $9.90] had to work through lunch so needed something easy to eat! Soft fluffy wrap with plentiful filling. Plus they make it fresh when you get there (so you can even ask for certain ingredients to be left out). Lots of smiley staff (hence happy salad). 4/5.
