Intriguing Food

Traditional breakfast will be forever be my favorite post run breakfast ;-)

Had it since I was a kid, started out in small hawker stall until now, business has been passed over and damn they have outlet of their own; managed by her children. My fav YTF of all time, still good keeping the tradition going!

Popped back to Bei-Ing for “afternoon tea” to try out another of their classy options. I’d say this is a pretty solid plate of “1 ton” goodness 👍🏻

Penang prawn noodles? Never heard of, we’re the first timer for sure! Only in soup-based here, kinda spicy but glad we gave it a try, it’s super delicious! I believe the thickness, contents and consistency dictate whether if it’s worth it. TOTALLY NO RAGRETS! 🔥🔥🔥

Daaaayummmm. Bei-Ing’s legendary charsiu is absolutely undeniable! Considered one of my favourite roasts around.

When it comes to noodles, I can be quite a picky-eater but the 鱼圆面 here is superb. Extra vinegar is probably going to keep me coming back for this bowlful of greatness! Too much good food around Katong!

TUESDATE: THE ULTIMATE CHICKEN KATSU!

They serve cutlet that I would describe as super moist, craggy-crust, tender, almost silken texture, and a "cosmic oneness" between the crumbs and the chicken. (We're talking cutlet so good that you have to resort to metaphysics to make sense of it.) Incredibly memorable! The flavour penetrates very deeply and the doneness of the chicken greatly reduces the palatability for me!

I distinctly remember eating it: Picking the big, fat chunks accompanied with Katsuobushi and their quality Truffle Mayo (Adding an extra touch of luxury to this indulgent goodness) Tasting the spicy, salty grease; unique blend of herbs and delivering it to my waiting mouth, WAS HEAVENLY!

I’m a foodie and I cannot stand not eating great food at a small price!

I honestly enjoy quite a handful of their delicious dishes from their ever changing menu, never fail to amaze me, which is what makes Bei-Ing worth repeated visits!
