I wanted something sweet so I decided to check out Chocolate Origin. The lady in charge of the shop was very helpful and gave some recommendations.
I decided to get the Matcha Lava Cake which is their new flavour. When I received the cake, I was a little shocked as it wasn't as green as the display. The cake's texture was like a steamed cake/kueh with a thick liquid-y center. The matcha was light and not bitter. The sweetness was good, not too sweet. The ice cream was nice and chilled.
Overall I prefer the chocolate one instead of the matcha flavour.
Got the Sugar Roll with sugar coating.
Love the cake. It was soft, light and not dry. The sweetness was just nice. The sugar coating added a nice texture to the cake as well. Cream was a little oily but ok.
The Lychee Rose cake contained layers of moist vanilla cake studded with sweet, juicy lychee pieces which paired perfectly with the light rose scented chantilly cream. The macarons was really good as well. Chewy, sweet shell with a light cream filling.
Decided to try this cheesecake which many have recommended.
The upper layer is a sweet creamy smooth no- bake cheesecake, and the lower layer is a rich, tasty baked cheesecake. When you eat them together you get a rich yet light cheesecake. Something different from your regular rich New York cheesecake or burnt cheesecake.
Cake size is good enough for 4 people to share.
My go to place to get cheap and good chocolate lava cake.
Perfectly baked warm chocolate cake with a luscious molten gooey chocolate lava flowing in the middle. Paired together with milky, ice cold ice cream in a cup that's convenient to eat on the go.
