We know about the lobsters at Burger & Lobster, but we often forget about the other half of their name - their burgers.

They're famed for their signature lobsters, and the original lobster rolls, and rightfully so. Those are live lobsters that are flown in from Nova Scotia, Canada. But less know is that their beef from their patties are premium as well, and they came from the cattle ranchers in Nebraska, U.S.A.

Pictured is the Mayfair, with grilled Nebraskan burger patty with housemade pickles in their signature burger sauce. I like mine with cheese. By default, there's no cheese in the Mayfair burger. However, additional bacon and cheese was free of charge for the Mayfair burger when I visited.

Back to Skirt again, this time for their wagyu burger. When everywhere in town is crazy noisy and crowded, I head to W at Sentosa for my weekend respite.

Skirt @theboldestgrill's wagyu burger came with fried egg, lots of baconc and vintage cheddar smeared with sesame aioli, all these sandwiched between their soft fluffy potato bun.

It's only available on Saturday lunch though, and I'm expecting myself to be back again on more Saturday afternoons.

Executive Chef Victor Loy shows us that you need not use an expensive cut of beef to make an amazing dish. This beef burger/sandwich is so affordably priced, yet it was so amazingly good.

The Westholme @true_westholme pastrami here had a smooth texture with lovely smoked scent. It was light, yet it was complemented and not overpowered by the pickled jalapeño and smoked cheddar.

I was so curious about the pastrami that I had to ask Chef Victor how he achieved that smooth texture and light flavour unlike any other beef I've tried. So turns that he used the Westholme navel end brisket, brined for 3 days, then rubbed, and smoked for 4 hours, before being sous vide, and finally dried before putting it together in this sandwich between the fluffy brioche buns.

Sausages, Garden Salad, Roasted Potatoes, 3 pcs of Cornbread, 2 pcs of Mexican Grilled Corn, Roasted Cauliflower, and Roasted Pumpkin.

This thing is a beast. Three of us that evening shared 1.1kg of this huge US Angus shortrib, and yet it was amazingly unctuous within. That's cos this has been slow cooked for 26 hours till tender, then glazed with sumac BBQ glaze and grilled over Binchotan for that smoky aromatic finish.

$108 might sound like a hefty price tag for a dish, but this is certainly good enough to be shared between 4 person, so it's only $27 each. Very, very reasonable price for something this good.

They really good sliders here. These three sliders came in different flavours, along the theme of Salty (wagyu and blue cheese), Sweet (tomato relish, onion marmalade, Zuni pickles and Irish aged cheddar), and Spicy (sriracha, picked, jalapeño, lettuce, tomatoes). They are all very juicy with good beefy flavour.

Not to mention the ambience here, dynamic but still feeling chill. Live bands every Friday and Saturday too!

This is a gourmet burger at a pocket-friendly friendly price, in a gorgeous space with lush greenery and natural lighting. Dine amidst birch trees, and take lots of photos 😊

Mark your calendars, from this coming Monday to 24th June, Morganfield's is offering these limited time ribs and offers in conjunction with Mother's Day and Father's Day. They're launching two new Sticky Bones sauces: Candied Peach BBQ, and Smokey Bacon Bourbon.

Pictured is the Candied Peach BBQ, which is sweet and fruity. It's made with juicy peaches and rich honey. My mum prefers this ribs over the Smokey Bacon.

On the other hand, the Smokey Bacon Bourbon (swipe for photo) is infused with bourbon, hand-chopped bacon bits and topped with candied bacon. It's hearty, rich and smokey, and all the men around my table love this more than the Candied Peach.

Morganfield’s is also tapping two new craft beers (swipe for photo) to complement their new sauces, SweetWater Blue and Bridge Road Robust Porter. Refreshing & fruity, light with a hint of fresh blueberries, the Blue is recommended for the Candied Peach as it is easy drinking and finishes extra clean. The Robust Porter is bolder with plenty of roasted barley and chocolate malts, so it's recommended to be paired with the Smokey Bacon Bourbon.

CBD executives like me now have this option for affordable lobster rolls for a quick lunch.

Thanks to Hazel for introducing me to owner Leonard, they treated me to all three flavours of their lobster rolls:
1. Chunky's Original - with mayo, lemon, secret herbs and spices
2. Chunky's Connecticut - coated and toasted with melted butter sauce
3. Chunky's Cheesy - with different cheese melting through.

I found the lobster rolls totally worth its price. They might not use uber fresh swimming lobsters like in some restaurants in the CBD area (and those cost ~$50 here), but I can definitely taste sweetness in those juicy lobster chunks.

In terms of sauce, the people who have tried it are equally fond of the Butter and the Cheese ones, with a slight majority leaning towards the Cheese. The Original allows you to taste the most sweetness from the lobster, while the cheese was still rather light so it doesn't distract from the lobster as well. For the buns, i like that they're soft and toasted with butter on both sides.

For the price of a poke bowl at CBD, there'll be times I want a lobster roll instead. And this is where I'll come :) but be prepared there are only 4 seats in this fast food kiosk, so it's better to takeaway instead.

When the manager asked us to try their vegetarian burger, I was very resistant... I'm a meat lover after all! But turns out this burger was superb.

It's a Spinach and Cheese Patty with Parmesan sauce and served with a herby garden salad. That patty was flavourful and had a good bite to it.
