Hawker Food
Have you tried Malaysia Boleh? A high human traffic food court that you will be having difficulties to decide what you wanna try... we were there at 3pm in the afternoon, should be a low peak period however the food court is filled with people... we were lucky to secure some seats, thanks to the Malaysia Boleh Team...
Home to numerous Malaysian street food which you may be familiar with, this will certainly be an ideal venue for u to satisfy your craving for Malaysian street food
The food here is way beyond my expectations of a food court, the dishes were flavourful and delectable. I especially enjoyed the claypot rice that has the charred on the bottom of rice, fragrant and authentic. For our group overall preferred dish will be the orh luak, plump, juicy oysters cooked with eggs and batter. We even requested for a 2nd portion despite our tummy is filled to brim.
Penang fried kway teow, is also one of the dishes I like went I travel to Malaysia, but the taste is slightly different, believe is because of the egg used wasn’t duck egg thus, missing out that final touch... but despite so this dish is still above average and for the price of it, is definitely so damn worth it, pocket friendly.
Dishes that we have tried:
🍜KL Hokkien Mee ($4.50)
🍜KL Chili Dry Ban Mian ($4.00)
🥘Petaling Street Claypot Rice ($5.00)
🥘Klang Bak Kut Teh ($5.00)
🍲Penang Char Kway Teow ($4.50)
🍲Penang Prawn Noodles ($4.00)
🍲Penang Fried Oysters Omelette ($4.50)
🍜Penang Asam Laksa ($4.00)
🍚Kuantan Nasi Lemak ($3.50)
🍧Chendol
Many thanks to @malaysiaboleh for having me!
The hawker fare is so damn good, check it out soon else 你的人生就留白了...
Unbelievable that this good wok hei and portion dry fried seafood hor fun is priced at only $3.50... if you happen to be working at Ang mo kio industrial park... This is a stall worth visiting for lunch... Legit good and cheap...
This stall sells authentic Yong Tau Foo, you don't need to choose the ingredients, is fixed bowl, you only need to choose the starch you want to go with... Cheap and good...
The Riverside BBQ chicken set in sweet sauce is one of my hawker favourite $6.50 ... Add Cabbage at $0.80 ;)
The most long queue stall at Amoy food centre... Legit fish soup selling at $4.50/bowl... Generous portion... Highly recommended that you go before 11.30am if not the queue will be too long and your one hour lunch break is insufficient to get it...
This is situated at level 2 of the food centre... Usually finish selling around 12plus noon time... However, recently they have extended their hours till about 2pm... Replenishes their items and those are out for lunch later can also enjoy this... the plate I have is $3.50...
Not many restaurants and stalls can make this dish well... It is no wonder the long queue for so many years... With a less than $10 you can enjoyed this compared to spending almost $20 per tray in somewhat so called authentic Chinese restaurant still may not get good sticky dumplings as these here...
Most expensive nasi lemak I had so far... But for the ingredients used is seriously worth the $26... Grilled lobster with cheese... They use basmati rice which is a healthier grain and not losing the aunthetic taste of the traditional nasi lemak...
The chicken wings are the highlight of the stall... The queue is consistently long... But is moving fast... Just that the sitting space are limited... Crispy and juicy... Include other stuff we ordered - beehoon, cabbage, eggs, ngoh hiang, luncheon meat and Taiwan saugage... Is a good $10 only for 2 pax... Definitely value for money... highly recommended...
