Korean vegetarian food with a social cause?!
What a combination! Having all 3 of my faves combined into one. What's more is that the food and service didn't disappoint too much.
This is one of their popular dishes on the menu. And it did not occur to me that I was in a vegetarian restaurant for the entire lunch.
I love my food piping hot; and this huge bowl of goodness came served to my table bubbling hot. Egg tofu, egg, enoki mushroom, shiitake mushroom, sweet tofu were the main ingredients herein. The soup tasted just right - not overly spicy nor salty. They also serve brown rice as default (yes, no extra charges!).
However, you gotta order your own side dishes as they discourage food wastage - so it's order as you wish to eat & no refills!
The soup tasted similar to 鱼片米粉汤 but what caught me by surprise was that the handmade noodles were the right texture - chewy. We ordered this with the initial intent for the soup only though. Oh and of course you can opt to change it to Mee hoon kway instead.
Alternatively, you may want to try their herbal bak kut teh soup cos that was what we wanted to try but they were sold out since lunch ):
Didn't have a high expectation for this but it turned out waaaayyyyy above my non-expectations. (What am I saying?!)
Yeah but this tasted heavenly. The curry was thick and there were vegetarian chicken with potatoes in it. The papadum were warm and crisp when served so it's best you dip it in the curry and devour it! The basmati rice were fragrant and the overall portion is not too large to get you gelat of it.
SHIOK. Straw mushrooms replaced our star in traditional orh luak - and it still tastes as amazing!

Other than eating, it's me being hungry.
