On my last day in Jakarta recently, I decided to try something I have been wanting to try for a while: bakso stuffed with cheese. It was the least fanciest place I have ever been to in my most recent trip back, but it definitely brought out the Indonesian in me. Bakso, so simple yet so nice. I would come back to try the other things, despite beef balls not exactly my favourite thing in the world.
My friends and I decided to pop a visit to this little cafe. I was so sleepy then that I opted for iced long black. Newsflash: it did no shit to me. I wanted something simple, so I got the margherita Pizza - it had 4 slices. I thought the cheese on each slice was a bit too thick for my liking, but I finished it anyway because I am me, the fat ass.
Thanks to a friend, I was here for dinner on my first night. Since they serve pork, we opted for seafood. Salmon it is! It always a good time for salmon, if you ask me. I loved how crispy the salmon was, it was as if it was grilled to perfection. Paired with some sauce and mashed potato, I was just 😍 the whole time.
It was my first time eating daging dendeng to be honest. It was so crispy, my brain couldn’t comprehend. There were bits of chilli in the middle of the crispy beef, and somehow it blended so well it almost felt like it was the gravy for it. Along with this dish, I also had one of their fried rice and another chicken dish. After that, we cleansed off our lunch with a bowl of icy creamy stuff with bits of avocado in it. Everything totalled up to about RM150 for 3, and I think it was quite reasonable.
