For $7.90, I get to choose a salad with unlimited toppings and 1 sauce. Unlimited toppings include chia seed, cranberries, avocadoes, sunflower seeds which others usually will price them as premium toppings. Isn't this a goof find?

Nice soba noodles, salad was fresh and the dressing (wasabi&yuzu) was amazing! Check out their current promotion: all bowls for only 8$. Definitely worth the money!! Service was quick and ordering very easy on the computer. Nice spot!
Was initially worried that my Korean glass noodles would turn soggy (we brought it back for lunch in school), but was surprised by their takeaway packaging - loved how they thoughtfully separated out the saucy spicy chicken! I liked that they didnโt drench the noodles in their BBQ sauce, but just the right amount to give the flavour. Topped with onsen egg and tobiko, tossing them all together gave this creamy, savoury and slightly sweet combination. Chicken was well marinated and a little spicy. Pretty good overall! Queue was a little long when we were there during lunch hours, it'd be good to ask about the waiting time before ordering.
One thing i like about Baro Baro is that, the food is satisfying and the menus' reasonable price. The staff too are friendly and attentive. Sometimes the place can get too crowded but you know what, falling and waiting n line will be worth it. I tell you.โค๏ธ๐
If it's noon and you're in Raffles Place, head to this air-conditioned space for a delicious salad. Located right at the exit of Raffles Place MRT Station, Bottles and Bones is both a sit-down restaurant and a grab-and-go spot that offers reasonably-priced salads. There is only one size available here ($14.90), which includes one main, one side, three toppings and a dressing. Prices are nett, proteins are unbelievably tasty and portions are generous, which explains why they usually sell out by 1pm. Go for their signature Crispy Pork Belly as your main (additional mains cost $2) with its very audible crackling skin and opt for the onsen egg, pickled carrots and the forest mushrooms as your toppings. Treat yourself to an additional topping ($1) and get the much raved about Truffle Crumble that adds just the right amount of crunch and flavour in your salad! Of the nine dressings available, standouts include the unique truffle and yuzu aioli, the flavourful baby spinach pesto and the creamy Cajun spiced mayo.
Avg Price: $20 per person

You customize your bowl from their range of healthy proteins and sides. For this bowl, we chose cold buckwheat soba ($2) with chicken breast ($4 half portion), smoked duck ($7 half portion) and added avocado ($2), hence the total price of $15. Affordable and healthy eats at CBD, for people like me who don't like salads.

The quinoa was quite yummy on its own with soya sauce flavour. The lamb was quite tender although it was a bit fatty on some parts. The sesame encrusted salmon was a bit dry and overcooked. Could see the white protein in it. A sign of overcooked.

From Harvest, a new salad-cum-protein bowl bar along East Coast Road just opposite i12 Katong โ the menu offers fully customizable bowls where patrons pick their choice of protein, base, sides, topping and dressing. They also serve bottled cold press juices for those looking for beverages to go along with their salad.
For the choice of protein, I went for the Norwegian Salmon Fillet (add $3), while going for the Red Quinoa for my choice of base (add $2). My toppings included the Onsen Egg (add $1), Broccoli and Shimeiji Mushrooms while I opted for the Mentaiko (add $1.50) for topping and opted for the Roasted Sesame dressing. Overall it's pretty decent; the Red Quinoa was prepared pretty well without any hard or sandy bits, while the Norwegian Salmon Fillet was pretty decent; flaky, not dry and smoky for it was being dressed with the umami mentaiko dressing and blown torched. Shimeiji mushrooms were bouncy and broccoli carried a crunch; pretty decent as well, while the onsen did deliver that oozy, molten egg yolk everyone would expect.
Customize your own protein bowl at $14 each (+$1 for steak)!

If you like beetroot and hummus, the โVegan Stackโ with sliced avocado on sourdough would be perfect. In this, the strong earthiness of the purple vegetable is muted as itโs mixed into a hummus which has quite a bit of garlic.
Really happy to have been introduced to this place by Burpple Tastemaker @blueskiescottonclouds (whom I am sure is going to be their regular customer). I can understand why itโs so easy for her to keep returning to Avorush for her fix of freshly-made, tasty food that is value-for-money.
1) Salad $8/ Wrap $10 as Base: Romaine lettuce base (either this or brown/red rice)
2) Choose 5 toppings from the assortment; I picked spicy tofu (not spicy at all), roasted pumpkin ๐, lentil, quinoa & tomato ๐
salsa ๐๐ป๐๐
3) Dressing: Light drizzle of "Japanese wafu dresssing" didn't know what it was so I asked for light! And I am glad I did!! Turned out wafu dressing's made of soya sauce, mirin, vegetable oil etc, whoaa that mirin a bit intense.. made me a bit confused on how my salad tasted
4) Add toppings: Guacamole $3 (a bit too expensive for a top-up on hindsight ๐๐ค) go for the sliced avo instead (($2 for half an avo, me thinkks; I ordered b4) + Sour Cream $0.50
So this was $8 for opting salad (wrap is priced starting from $10 if I'm not wrong) + $3 + $0.50 = $11.50 No gst & svc charge here! And they serve plain water too! Nobaddtheservicehor ๐๐๐๐๐๐
ooh and its a relatively nice and cozy setting just a few mins walk from the mrt, it's at Maxwell chambers! but when they start saute-ing the the mushrooms, you might want to start guac & go-ingg ๐๐(literal pun intended) ๐๐
Popped by @hicjuicesg's cafe at Centrepoint a while back for an Acai bowl (I love Acai bowls, they're like the healthy cousins of ice cream and yogurt.) I love how this juice company has branched out so much. They now do Acai bowls, and they offer a SOUP cleanse on top of their juice cleanse. I complained a while back that juice cleanses suck cause it's all sweet and sickly after 3 days of fruits and veggies pressed into a watery pulp. But with a soup cleanse, you've got sweet AND savoury. Fair warning though, it's not thick and rich soup. Yes, it has plenty of flavour, but there's a... Lightness to it that reminds you that their soups are cleansing. I loved the creamy mushroom and tomato basil. Before you embark on a cleanse, you should pop down to the cafe to try out a few flavours. They're sold individually here with the Acai bowls and ice creams! It's about two servings per bottle so you'll be really full after :) anyway, I'm only putting this up now cause I feel like I've been indulging a bit too much lol. So... I might attempt a cleanse soon. MIGHT. #hicjuice
