Entertainer 1 For 1
$26++ for this before the 1 for 1 discount on the Entertainer App. Even at the discounted price, I was fairly disappointed with the quality of food. Salad was limp with an overwhelming amount of sesame dressing. Miso soup and rice were both mediocre as well. The unagi, the supposed star of the dish, left much to be desired. It was thin, slightly burnt on the exterior, and coated in this saccharine sauce that I had to scrap off before it became somewhat edible. Give this place a miss. It's not worth the effort travelling all the way into a secluded part of Clementi for such mediocre food
Basically an elevated ham and cheese sandwich for $15++ (before the 1 for 1 discount using the Entertainer App). It's quite a rich dish: the thick and meaty slices of mortadella (italian sausage) had generous speckles of white pork fat, and was complemented with cheese, kale and onion jam. I would have preferred it with slightly more vegetables or onion jam to balance out the heartiness of the meat filling
Don't expect your authentic wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza here. But this is no less delicious, with huge dollops of creamy burrata perched atop a crisp crust ($25++)
Alas, the linguine grancio con panna (linguine and crabmeat tossed in a spicy creamy sauce and topped with caviar) fell slightly short of expectations. The dish needed more salt, and the cream sauce became slightly cloying towards the end
Ambience wise, the tables were way too close to each other for comfort; I could practically feel the steam wafting off my neighbour's food. Not my ideal choice for a romantic night out
In all, I wouldn't mind returning, but I highly doubt I will be dreaming of PizzaExpress tonight
After the entertainer app discount, this bowl of goodness came up to $15++. A real steal considering the quality and quantity of seafood! After changing the maguro to salmon, I had 4 slices of salmon, 2 slices of swordfish, 2 slices of yellowtail, 2 slices of scallop, a nice fat juicy prawn, and a tiny dollop of creamy uni. The rice was also delectable - aggressively seasoned grains of Japanese rice that retained a nice chewy bite. Service was prompt, albeit rushed on a busy Friday night. The lady boss (I presume) was warm and personable, and also very attractive
