One word: too good. Screw it, that was two words because one word isn't enough to express my love for poké bowls. The Fish Bowl sells Poké bowls for a reasonable price by using only fresh quality ingredients. For a standard price of rm17.90 (unless you feel like splurging a little more for their more premium unagi or soft shell crab Poké) you get to pick a base, 2 sauces, 3 sides, a choice of protein and unlimited toppings ! The portion served is generous and filling enough to keep you happy and healthy throughout the day, so what's not to love really?
The first grab-and-go butter cookie store has finally landed in Malaysia ! Cookies & Coffee (commonly referred to as C&C) already has a few outlets in Malaysia and the one I visited was in Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya. You can literally smell the aroma of fresh butter cookies (not so much of the coffee, no) from one mile away. Before packing these babies into my snack bag (which costs about rm17.90 if I'm not mistaken, yes it's pretty costly for a bag of butter cookies but well...) I sampled their cookie flavors before scooping them into the bag so that I'd know which ones I preferred out of their many varieties and I settled with three flavors: the butter cookie with orange peel, the chocolate cookie (darker color), and the crispy thin cookie with chocolate chips (lighter color). I'm not a crazy fan of butter cookies to be completely honest (partly because I can bake them at home) but I think they nailed the butter to flour to sugar ratio pretty well. What I like about this store is that their butter cookies were not too sweet and had a more fresh-from-the-oven taste compared to the other commercialized butter cookies you can find in the grocery store these days. But then again, these are freshly baked day to day so who am I to compared them with factory-processed butter cookies anyways
