Too sweet, ice cream tasted cheap, I didn't fancy the texture much... We didn't finish this. I say, go to P.S. Cafe for this dessert.
Nice big cup of good Latte, great place to chill and people watch, not as crowded as other cafes but their coffee is good (compared to the one downstairs that it overlooks 😏). Will be back!
Used Burple Beyond to try this for the first time, buy 2 get 2, total damage $17. Was very happy to taste that it isn't too sweet and the flavors are quite special. I ate them the next day so the pastry is a bit soft, maybe putting in airfryer for 1 min will help. I like how the fillings are different for every flavor.
Shown here is the Ispahan flavor. Very special rose with lychee bits, I think this is worth a try!!

Shown here are the seasonal flavors Rouge and Dark Blackberry. My hubby preferred Rouge while I preferred Dark Blackberry. So I guess, to each his own 🤣
Delicious! This set was good. The century egg tofu is a regular side and it tastes really good. Order this! I don't usually eat century egg (in fact I avoid it in my porridge etc) but this was v mild and the sauce was delicious. The dandan noodles have a peanut-y taste and was nice. I actually liked it more than the mapo rice hahhaha. Not cheap for a quick meal (around $14 maybe?) but nice to have.
Really wanted to try this after seeing it on IG, went once but it was too crowded with a queue outside, and finally managed to get a seat on a Sun before dinner time yay!
The flavors sound so good and I wanna try all waffle flavors! Had to wait for the waffles (30 mins) but we took the time to admire their on point decor, sooo pretty.
Now time for the food: the nian gao waffle is a great idea, but the waffle was a bit too crispy throughout and not fluffy inside. Not sure how to make it thicker, but maybe temperature can be adjusted to make it less crispy.
Ice cream: the honey chamomile is so unique, I love the chamomile flavor. It veers toward the milky side (for the earl grey as well) so for those who like milky ice cream, this is for you. For me, I prefer stronger flavors hehe.
Verdict: beautiful place, prepare to wait, worth a try!
New stall that took over the unit previously selling roast meats. Good beehoon that soaks up the gravy. $4
Have never really gotten what's the fuss with this black bean noodles when watching kdramas. Isn't it just full of carbs?
Well, the rendition here at Annyeong IS full of carbs, but the potato noodles are so QQ! The sauce is good that I actually devoured all of it, and it came with lots of onions and cabbage and some minced meat.
A good option if you're craving JJM or don't mind eating the carbs. I wonder why jajangmyeon doesn't just come with more meat. Am I the only meat eater here?!?! Maybe one day we can do a Singaporean version of JJM HAHAHA.
Worth it, a very sizeable portion that would cost $15 easily in a Korean restaurant. Has a seafood taste and I spied a few shrimps etc. It's crispy yet substantial! Would order again.
The egg is marvelous, just nicely set and not overcooked, very decent portion with sufficient thickness of egg. It's one of the signature items that made it to the reduced menu till they can hire more help.
My only qualm is that the kimchi isn't sour enough and there was only fried rice, egg and kimchi in this dish - no protein from what I remember. So the egg is great but hope they can work on the kimchi fried rice.
Read about this in 8days and came to try. Arrived at 5.45pm and there was a queue already! Only 5 items on the menu as they have trouble coping with the orders (one person cooking, one person taking and preparing orders).
This was the soy sauce chicken ($7) - pre fried chicken wings and soaked in a soy sauce. I got it immediately after I ordered so I'm glad for this efficiency even though it means the chicken wasn't piping hot. Wow was it crispy despite being soaked in a bucket of sauce! Unbelievably crispy. Kinda hard to eat using the Korean chopsticks and spoon though so you might wanna wash your hands before digging in.
Hope they hire more help soon so that we can have the full menu back!!
The mee siam from Salam Kita is one of the best I have tasted (besides Old School Delight). The gravy was thick and flavourful, and the sambal hits all the right spots. This stall closes early, normally before 12.30pm, so have to rush there if one wants to order it.
