This was delicious!

Grilled for 45 minutes and torched with sugar, the meat was chunky and juicy. The skin was also aptly charred, crispy and flavourful. A sinful guilty pleasure! PS also booked this meal on @chopesg and was given a spacious area on the second floor of the outlet

Admittedly, this ain't pretty but my goodness, it is truly the best bolognaise I've had in ages! And I don't say this lightly because the last time I felt so strongly about a plate of bolognaise pasta was close to 15 years ago in Hong Kong. It was at Cafe Vergnano in the IFC Mall and up to that point in my life, theirs was the tastiest version I'd ever eaten. So much so that I got a second plate on the spot.
Fast forward to last night when I had the bolognaise cooked by Chef Takashi of Ristorante Luka. One mouthful of their handmade pasta in his stunning minced beef sauce, and I was instantly transported. It reminded me so much of the one I'd dreamed about and craved for over the years (sadly, it wasn't anywhere to be seen when I returned on subsequent trips). So I threw myself into this new discovery - to revel in its harmony of beautifully full and complex tasting sauce with al dente ribbons.
To me, it's an embodiment of joyful comfort food at its best.

The iconic double down returns with a hawaiian twist by adding a slice of pineapple and dose of BBQ sauce. TBH i couldn't taste the difference between this and the original version. But this sinful creation definitely still packs a punch. The spicy potato bites (right) was a letdown though, kinda dry and tasteless.

Essentially Burger King's reponse to Macs Nasi Lemak Burger & KFC's Double Down! I guess their marketing paid off cos I was really sold by their advertisement and photos going around social media. But what I got was a disappointing looking burger which I could easily fit within the palm of my hands. Good news was that at least it tasted better than it looks. Advice would be to go all in and stack till the max, would definitely be worth the bucks (and calories)

When you only have one item on your menu, it better be damn good and it sure is. Sliced wagyu beef stacked in layers over Japanese pearl rice, drizzled with homemade yoghurt sauce and topped off with a perfectly poached onsen egg. This is why amoy street is one of my favourite hawker centers around!

They were deep fried pork bellies, so well marinated and sliced so thin that they fooled me! So yummy and addictive. Be careful once you start there is no stopping.

The dry aging process is carefully carried out in-house in a designated aging room for 28 days, allowing the meat to develop a deep flavorful profile.

Served sizzling hot on the plate, the meat that is cooked at 1600°F on the grill broiler arrived with a beautiful caramelized crust. On the inside, the perfect pink medium rare was tender and sealed with its juices. It's definitely one pretty attractive slab of steak 👌🏻
