Miisoh Japanese Food
This is a really bad picture of one of my favorite Aburi Shimesaba-s. So good!
I really enjoyed this Aijtama Shoyu Ramen ($14.90) It had a light umami-ness which I liked; it was well balanced and not too salty. The noodles were just nice as well. I wished the char siew was softer, and bamboo shoots crunchier, but these are just my preferences ^^
The Signature Tendon set ($14.90) came with a mini chawanmushi, 2 prawns, super long piece of fish, long beans, pumpkin, egg, seaweed, mushroom, baby corn and eggplant. First 2 bites were quite yummy but it got real greasy real fast, and I couldn't finish it. The egg plant was soaked with oil and the seaweed tempura was so unbelievably hard, you could cause serious damage with it.
Foie gras nuggets and asparagus with miso dressing ($15). Soft, buttery, nutty, yummy!
Yummy soup curry with spicy levels from 0 to 30. I chose Oink Oink ($15.90), pork with tomato based curry. The service crew shared that some felt level 30 was spicy, some didn't. That meant it wouldn't be too spicy for chilli lovers. Since level 30 might cover the taste of the food, I went for 25. Pretty oily, but tasted good! Rice was nice and fluffy. Tomato and coconut curry base is thicker, and I prefer tomato because the coconut taste was quite strong.
I had the Chirashi Don ($12) and added $5 for chawanmushi, side salad and dessert. Kyoaji's sashimi is fresh, rice is fluffy the way I like it. Really value for money!
