Square One is a place where I look at the menu & I'm lost regarding what to order 'cos I kind of wanted everything. I thought I'd order toast with nut butters but I decided on their Coconut Granola (60K++) instead. No regrets! A big serving of granola topped with slices of fresh fruits & coconut shavings, & yogurt served on the side.

The granola was nicely chunky & not too sweet; combined with the tartness of yogurt, it was perfect. The fruits were also lovely - I enjoyed this granola bowl so much.

Dracula in Love uses Brockmans Gin, an impressive gin that smells nothing short of amazing. Once I smelled it, I was hooked.

Wonderfully floral & fruity, it smells like berries (blueberries & blackberries, I so learned). The note of liquorice lends a light woody sweetness to it as well. The rest of this cocktail: An orange peel, fresh blueberries, star anise, & thyme leaves. I was so full at the end of this last one - full, but immensely happy.

Blissful Afternoon in Uluwatu (135K++ IDR) was blissful indeed - using Citadelle Gin which has good citrus notes. Naturally, the addition of kaffir lime, lemon leaves, & orange peel were perfect in this drink. & that little bit of black peppercorn too.

Started off with The Goddess Eostre (135K++ IDR), which uses Gin Mare - a herby gin with hints of rosemary, thyme, olive, & basil. In goes the lemon peel & dry juniper berries, then topped off with a sprig of rosemary.

It is served with a cute spade spoon for you to scoop up the 3 watermelon balls - as my best friend aptly puts it, "YOU HOE".

Can't get enough of this Nasi Campur magic. Walked in to Soul in A Bowl intending to eat some pasta, but ended up ordering this from their local delights menu.

When their Indonesian Classic Nasi Campur (65K++ IDR) was served to me, I was excited to find this portion so substantial! The moment I tucked in, I knew I was in for a good time. I don't eat spicy food much, but even I can't resist the 3 kinds of sambal it comes with - so much that when I had "extra" coconut rice leftover at the end of my meal, I finished it all with the sambal. UNREAL!!

The meats were delicious - 2 sticks of satay lilit & a drumstick of sticky chicken. The sweet & spicy fried tempe with peanuts was also good. This is a nice representation of local food!

The sayur urap, which is a dish of steamed vegetables with grated coconut, was something new to me & I liked it. & last but not least, a spiced egg which was pretty ordinary for me but at least the yolk wasn't too overcooked.

Coffee by the road side, though they do have air-conditioned seats indoors too. Very affordable prices & delicious, strong coffee. I enjoyed my Flat White (30K nett) & would love to visit again!

Fate brought me here - I passed by in a taxi on my way from the airport, & I saw their sign: "MEAT & GIN".... & took it as a sign that I had to swing by.

Chops Meat & Grill has thoughtfully curated an Easter gin cocktail menu & they're running a promotion til the end of April - buy 2 get 1 free. Initially when I was warmly welcomed in by the staff, I told myself that I doubt I'll be drinking 3 cocktails tonight. Well, I proved myself wrong.

It was a very quiet night, not exactly sure why but this place could do with more customers! This is a perfect place for date nights or a chill evening at the bar. While I didn't order anything to eat, I did have my share of 3 cocktails & they were excellent. & I was well taken care of by the very friendly bartenders Yogi & Dodi, & lovely waitress Kopang.

Such a great night - I ended up staying til they closed, & Kopang gave me a ride home on her scooter. Thank you sweetheart 😘

I like how there isn't a minimum spend to lie on one of the daybeds here or to get a table. The pool is very small though, so maintain your expectations. Was filled with kids when I was here but they left by 6:30PM. If you want to dip in the pool, you can - but towels here cost 50K++ IDR each. & the pool closes at 7:00PM, so I gave it a miss.

Glad I came here, "been there done that". ☺
