Going Japanese š£
1. Beef udon: the beef was sliced thinly, and only a little. Udon was springy. Broth was very light. Cost: $9
2. Scallop cake udon: this was not worth it in my opinion. Scallop cake just tasted like normal fish cake - could not taste any scallops in this. Did not rise up to my expectations at all. Cost: $13.50
Wanted to check out what the hype was about. From top left (clockwise): chicken katsu don ($5.80), salmon mentai don ($8.80) & mentai maki ($5.80, 4 slices per plate). Both dons had not much wow factor, it actually tastes pretty normal. Also, the portions were really small so they can consider sizing up half a portion. Very generous with the mentai sauce for the salmon don- however, the mentai sauce on the salmon did not really complement the teriyaki sauce on the rice. The maki was not up to expectations either- torched salmon was not consistent- the side pieces were more cooked them the middle 2 makis. Perks: very efficient service and had a good system. Miso soup was given for each main ordered :>
A generous portion given for this delicious bowl of ramen ($6.90 per bowl) with 3 slices of Tonkatsu, 2 sheets of seaweed and a Hanjuku egg. Broth was delicious and this humble bowl really deserves two thumbs up! Ordered side dishes too: Ebi fry (2 pcs for $2.50) & Karaage (3 pcs for $2.50). Self-service but was cooked very fast.
Springy noodles and delicious broth at an affordable price- $7.80. Small portion but it filled me up ⨠Must order: pan-fried dumpling with pork (5 pieces for $4.80)- it was on point but unfortunately I forgot to take a picture before gulping them all down š
It tastes like a genuine bowl cooked in Japan! The broth is excellent as always and the consistency is on point. The ebi fry was not overcooked- it was perfect! Crispy on the outside the fresh on the inside
There is a reason why this is the chef's choice here- enough said. I will be back for more!
With just $15.50, you can get this yummy bowl of happiness. The Shabu Shabu meat pieces were spongy and fragrant, broth was extremely rich and not too strong. Ramen were made to perfection. Would definitely come back here again!
Beautifully torched, you can taste the freshness of it! It was very tender and to my liking- I ordered 2 of this dish because it was so good :)
Well presented and nicely sliced. It was extremely fresh but there were only a few pieces of sashimi to savour hence not entirely worth. It's not a filling plate but more of a tasting one.
