A truly unique dish where you get to the duck breast done tataki-style (semi-cooked) and the tighs in confit crispy style. A signature indeed.
Was expecting this to be one of those gimmick "western Japanese" dish, but Nobu has proven me wrong. It was one of the highlights for the night, really pleasing aesthetically and more than impressed with its taste. The delicately torched beef is raw and you can really get the beef flavours not over-powered by the ponzu sauce and fried garlic.
This is a must order... only if you are a true-blooded carnivore. By mistake we went to the other establishment (Cumulus Up) which is literally above this restaurant. The waitress there was trying to explain that they have a slightly different concept serving small plates wine bites. When she eventually gave up, she asked if were looking to try the lamb at Inc? Thinking to ourselves "Of course we can't miss that!" Decided to go ahead and order despite the waitress at Inc's advice that this may be too much for 2 adult and one kid. Obviously, she underestimated us, my daughter in particular. The shoulder is substantially conquered along with their signature spiced cauliflower. This lamb was braised and tender beyond description. Meh...meh... we almost forgot the lambs from the farm we met a day ago...
Tzakiziki sauce, onion, lettuce, tomato all freshly wrapped with the super gamey grilled lamb in the nice totilla. Makes a perfect snack or meal, which ever way you like it. Knew I must have this again no matter if brunch was an hour ago. It's simple to know why the Aussies are so in love with these Turkish kebab wraps.
Sometimes small is more, more enticing, more craving, more desirable. In this case size does matter.
Nobu started as a business partnership in 1994 between chef Nobu Matsuhisa, his partners actor Robert De Niro, producer Meir Teper and managing partner Richie Notar. With the original restaurant in New York, the Nobu brand is now currently established in many locations around the world including London, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Milan, Hong Kong and Waikiki.
Nobu restaurants continue with unprecedented praise and rave reviews from such notable publications as the New York Times, the Zagat Surveys, and the Michelin Guide. The restaurants’ perennial popularity and devoted following are a tribute to Nobu putting his own personal spin on traditional Japanese cooking.
Love it! Would have been a 5 star dish if not for the slightly over burnt calamari, which you can otherwise almost certainly taste the sea, just a sprinkle on the Sicilian sea salt and pepper. It's the season to fall in love again.
Highly enjoyable pasta dish, not only was the pasta interesting but the shrimps were amazingly fresh, goes perfectly well with the tomato relish & pesto.
Best mushroom dish ever. Only order 2 pieces as stater.... as soon as we take the first bite into these hot nuggets of minced Italian mushrooms, we regret not ordering more.
