I heard that there is a new item at ToriQ and had to try it - Pepper Karage and it actually isn’t spicy at all or had any strong pepper taste. A little disappointed though. Tasted like normal Karage to me TBH. Maybe my expectations are too high and I thought of the peppery chicken I had in Sabah.
Oh the broth was amazing and lovely. It was very rich, and I chose the normal seasoning it was a bit on the salty side for me, but still ok I just couldn’t finish all the soup it was a lot. As usual I slurped up the noodles as is the traditional way of eating ramen.
You have freshly toasted sesame seeds which you pop in this special ridged bowl. Add the like A1 sauce I like to add a little of the pre-mixed bottled sesame sauce - but the fragrance of the fresh sesame makes a great difference
Part of my set it came with very fresh Ikura and salmon sashimi which I enjoyed. Mixed it and just ate 😬 the saltiness of the sea
Part of my Ikura salmon katsu set.
The Tonkatsu is not the Spanish Iberico but still pretty good. Thankfully it’s a smaller portion cos I really couldn’t have finished it
Now there is a Spanish Iberico Pork katsu set promo going on. It’s a huge thick piece of pork, juicy and tender. Really delicious. You get to make your own Tonkatsu sesame sauce on your own.
You can choose the American Korubuta which is the cheapest option, but that’s not on promo.
The salmon belly was fresh and chewy, the salmon roe was also very fresh and the Flavors burst in your mouth and pop as you squeeze them lightly. With the Mayo you don’t need to add any wasabi to mask the delicate Flavors of this sushi. Value for money at only about $10
It’s cheap and good
Lots of Salmon Roe...the bits were falling off the bowl, so should have asked for another bowl to move the fish off the bowl
