Alcohol recommendations? No can do.
I will, however, gush about this draft beer I was enchanted by.
The aptly named Obama ($17 reg) is the alcoholic epitome of wholesomeness. This festive concoction of dry Irish stout, marshmallow, vanilla, and mint was smooth and velvety, with the personality of a warm snuggly blanket on a cold winter's night. Not something I've had much experience with but hey, I can dream.
Now, I'm not one to turn to for coffee recommendations. I do, however, urge you to try the Utu-style mocha, Bidi Bado "Abracadabra" ($7).
Youāve encountered mochas that are all talk and no action - sweet, overly milky, lacklustre. Not only is this fine, full-bodied specimen dark and handsome; it even greets you with a rim of peanut butter, almonds and pink peppercorns.
Give this a try, please. Even if youāre a fellow black coffee drinker.
I have no idea why I'm only posting this now when I've had Dal Komm's iced honey grapefruit ($8.90) multiple times, but anyway this my FAVOURITE thirst quencher of all time and I never fail to crave it on a hot day (aka every day....). It's light, tangy, and bursting with an intense citrus flavour while the honey adds a delicate sweet balance. Of course let's not forget the juicy chunks of grapefruit!!!!! ššš
