Grilled Sea Bass served with sides of pan fried asparagus, tomato, potato mash and lemon. It was a decent dish with tender meat but I thought the accompanying sauce was slightly too acidic.

Served bubbling hot, KodLeng’s Pork Bone Spicy Soup (choose from 3 levels of spiciness) tasted so much like a cross of Clear Tom Yum Soup and our ever so familiar Bak Kut Teh! The clear base was slightly peppery with a stronger herb like flavour, with chunks of pork bones and tender meat hidden between. Goes well with rice and good for sharing! They also have this soup served in bowl portions at 120Baht (4.80SGD).

With the heat packed in this pot, a cup of Thai Milk Tea helps to wash it all done so well, especially when it's rich yet not too sweet (although you order it here, they get it from another standalone stall named ELT).

Came down to KodLeng for dinner since TALAD Neon's just right next to our hotel, Berkeley Pratunam. Heard quite a bit about their Roast Prawns with Glass Noodles and it's got our thumbs up for the fresh prawns and kind price tag. But even though the good amount of glass noodles did soak up the flavors well, ours was overdone with a hand too much salt that got us thirsty. Would have really liked a more garlicky and slightly peppery mixture of flavours for a better balance. I would say go for their signature Pork Bone Spicy Soup instead of this!

Just one of the many snacks we had at Chatuchak, this simple Garlic Bread on a stick was pan toasted to a nice golden crisp! Garlic flavours weren't too strong but made a really good snack while shopping. Other flavours include chocolate, sugar butter, sweetened milk, strawberry fruit jam and pizza sauce.

Headed straight for this after stepping out of the taxi because what's Chatuchak without a coconut ice cream in hand! This popular stall's usually crowded but lines move quickly in an orderly fashion. It stands out to me for its almost sorbet like ice cream texture, especially good if you're not a fan of the usual thick creamy sort like my sister (who quickly ate up more than half hahaha). A scoop gets you 2 free toppings out of the 8 (please get the sticky rice!) but you can top up 5Bhat (0.20SGD) for each additional choice too. The complimentary cup of coconut water was also extremely refreshing in the scorching weather!

If you want to change it up, they've new ice cream flavours to choose from - Durian, Mango, Thai Milk Tea or just top up 20Baht (0.80SGD) for an additional scoop.

Couldn't get my hands on the Chatramue Thai Milk Tea Soft Serve but that's ok because I went for my favourite dessert at PABLO, the Cheese Soft Serve! It was superb as usual - creamy and smooth with a delicate balance of cheesiness and sweetness. Someone give the genius who thought of this an award already please!

A very value for money option for that generous amount of fresh seafood (scallops, squids, prawns) thrown in! Can’t actually remember if I’ve had any spicy pesto pastas before but Greyhound’s version tasted like a Thai fusion dish, probably due to the kind of spices used. It borders slightly along the line of being an acquired taste but we quite enjoyed it! It wasn’t too oily and the kicks of moderate spice helped to cut through the heavier pesto.

Being the lighter tasting pasta dish of the two we had, we appreciated that the flavours in here weren’t the overwhelmingly creamy and jelat sort, though it would be even better if the mushroom component was more pronounced. The fettuccini was done al dente and topped with fresh shrimps, quite a safe choice to go with!

Doesn’t look like much but was our unanimous favourite dish during our meal here at Greyhound Cafe! This Complicated Noodle dish wasn’t too complicated - grab a piece of lettuce leaf and stack one or two noodle sheets on top, (very similar to the texture of our chee cheong fun) then scoop in the chili and minced pork sauce. Bite into that wrap and you get a full mouth packed of Thai flavours! We really liked the mixture of garlicky, tangy and savoury flavours which were well balanced out by the refreshing crunchy lettuce wrap. Only hope was for a more generous amount of lettuce to better make full use of the other ingredients given.

Another one of Greyhound’s highly recommended dishes, this Fresh Lasagna Salad is made up of a tall stack of a variety of ingredients - romaine leaves, olives, tomatoes, zucchini, egg plant, pasta sheets and shaved parmesan, along with a thick tomato dressing. We liked that the tomato dressing didn’t overpower and mask the flavours of the other elements on the dish, but it didn't really wow us. If you can only go for one side/appetiser, I would say go for the Complicated Noodle at the same price point!

Overloaded ourselves with durian at After You's newest concept, After You Durian 😍 (but oh my, we braved through a 40-table wait). Here's the Durian Sticky Rice Toast - three scoops of creamy durian ice cream and a scoop of sticky rice on top one of the best toasts around (plus a cup of durian purée)! Toast is the same as it's parent cafe's - super crispy, buttery and just hits all the right notes of what a toast should be. It feels super heaty but super shiok at the same time! This is really for the hardcore durian lovers and even so, share the love or it might get a bit jelat. We also preferred this to the Durian Sticky Rice Kakigōri for the greater variation in flavours and textures.
