Khao Soi is a dish from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, which is made from egg noodles, deep fried crispy egg noodles and chicken in a milky curry broth. The dish is usually served with a side of pickled mustard greens, shallots, lime and fried chilli oil.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Khao Soi served had a heap full of noodles, a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg, with a large piece of tender chicken thigh. The meat was flavourful from the long cooking time and made the dish a very hearty dish. The dish was topped with crispy egg noodles giving the dish a nice crunch. For those who are not acquainted with this dish, do give this a try. For the best enhancement of flavours, mix in the side condiments, they really make a difference.

Son-in-law (kai look keuy, ไข่ลูกเขย) eggs are a traditional Thai dish, created with hard boiled eggs, which are then coated in flour and fried, served with sweet tamarind sauce, crispy shallots and dried chillies. This dish has an interesting origin, about a mother in law who didn’t like the way her daughter was treated by her husband. She then served him these eggs as a warning, a steep price he would pay if he continued mistreating her daughter.

The son in law eggs were cooked well, with the crispy outer layer giving it a nice umami bite. The sweetness from the tamarind sauce was a little too sweet, but is somewhat counterbalanced by the pungent fried shallots. This little dish makes quite a nice side snack.

Khao Kha Moo (ข้าวขาหมู) is a central Thai dish that has its origins in Chinese cooking. This dish is similar to the Hokkien tau yew bak, but has a more pronounced Thai spice. The dish consists of braising pork leg in soy sauce and dark soy sauce, star anise, cinnamon, pickled mustard greens, Chinese five spice, and palm sugar. The dish is served with a side of pickled mustard greens, kailan and a braised egg. The key here would be the garlicky chilli sauce.

The Khao kha Moo here never fails to impress, with its meat tenderly simmered until it pulls apart with a simple tug. The broth is served on the side which has an intense sweetness which complements the dish. The dish is served with a side of brown rice, but the star of the dish would definitely be pulling everything together in a burst of flavours when you top it up with the chilli sauce.

Red duck curry (แกงเผ็ดเป็ดแดง, kaeng ped pet yang) is a central Thai dish that is commonly found in Bangkok cuisine. The dish consists of roasted duck and fresh lychee in a red curry. This dish is typical of central Thai cuisine with its strong Chinese influences as seen with the use of roasted duck and lychee.

The duck here used is a smoked duck, which imparts a strong, salty and smoky flavour to the curry, different from the traditional roasted duck. The fresh lychees and pineapples also add much sweetness to the red curry, with the Vietnamese mint giving it a fragrant bitter twist. When served with rice, it's all just nice.

Tom Yum is a traditional Thai soup dish, made from a clear (tom yam nam sai ต้มยำน้ำใส) or creamy broth (tom yam nam khon ต้มยำน้ำข้น), consisting of hot and spicy flavours. The soup’s main ingredients are made with lemongrass, chilli, galangal, kaffir lime leaves and fish sauce, and is usually filled with seafood such as prawns, squid, fish, chicken and mushrooms.

The Tom Yum WoW Super is made with MAMA instant noodles, and is served in a creamy tom yum soup. The dish is served with their signature Streat fried chicken wings, crispy golden fried fish, crab sticks, home made meat balls, premium lobster balls, lettuce, herbs and 2 soft boiled eggs. The chicken wings were really crunchy and cooked Isan style, which were full of flavour and spice. The fried fish was also extra crispy in its batter, melting into the soup as crunchy starch. The home made chicken balls were excellent and ridiculously bouncy. Overall, a really good sharing dish, you definitely will not be able to finish this on your own so take a friend along.

Red duck curry comes from Central Thai cuisine, where the roasted duck of Chinese origin is incorporated into Thai cuisine. This dish is usually composed of red curry paste, and cooked with lychee or pineapples.

The roasted duck was perfectly cooked, with an aroma of Chinese five spice, and was cooked very tender, flesh pink and skin still crispy. The curry was spicy, creamy and robust with the sweetness from the pineapples. Easily one of the best French-Thai interpretations of this classical dish.
