Yum Yummmmm
Frankly disappointed by the service today as I was told right upon being seated that this was the limited menu for today. I just made a reservation via phone 3 days ago and they did not inform me on this. In fact I even received a follow up phone call asking me to 'be on time', and when I arrived on time (at noon) for my reservation, it was to see all surrounding restaurants open and operational but Misato told me to wait outside for another 15 minutes while they prepared themselves.

After a trip to Taiwan, always, always leave you craving for a good simple bowl of their braised meat rice (one of their staple food, which is basically just braised meat over rice). However, it can never fight in terms of Flavours and fragrance. At scorch, was sadly still the case (hard to beat la) but love the generous portion for mine and the meat was thankfully really soft to bite (that's definitely a plus for Ah Ma Liu).
Please do yourself a favour and add on 50c for their remarkable Chili!!
Max of two flavours! 🍃 Pricey considering the small amount of beverage lol. But I couldn't resist!! SO CUTE AND JIGGLY. Matcha was pretty good - thick and creamy! But must drink (and take photos) fast cos the drink leaks through. The tart shells were so butteryyyyy and remained quite crispy even after awhile. Yum! #burpple
If you cannot decide, check out cat and fiddle because they can put together different flavours of cheesecake into a whole cake! I really liked the tiramisu and the Yuzu lemon cheesecake. :P
Arrived barely an hour before closing time, and there wasn't much variety left, but we decided to take away the Get Wasted chocolate tart ($7). Texture-wise, it was lovely with the right proportion of chocolate to crust, but I felt that the crust could've been a teensy bit less sweeter in order to offset the rich + decadent chocolate. The assortment of novelty chocolates and sprinkles on top was also rather unnecessary.
From The Batter Affair, a new cafe at Scape that serves cakes and tarts alongside coffee, tea and other beverages
Triple Choc Coma was actually pretty good for a cake that costs only $5.80; it's rich, chocolatey and decadent but from the shiny ganache all the way down to the chocolate sponge sitting below — in between, its layered with white chocolate and dark chocolate mousse; the former provides a little sweetness to the latter that ends off with an adequate bittersweet finish without an overwhelming and nasty aftertaste. Quite impressed that they managed to get the mousse consistencies pretty balanced here; it's all velvety smooth and consistently so all the way through all the layers. Also quite surprised that the crispy bits on top were still crisp too! A definite hit with chocolate lovers out there!
Essentially a creamy, pillowy smother, with wet and pleasurable shocks of tart, alcoholic cherry electricity. 3.8/5
Hadn't been visiting here for a while, but I also had forgotten about the Choux puff here over the years; the fancy mousse cakes seemed to have gotten my attention more ever since my second visit.
Now that there is Shuu by KOKI Tamagoyaki in existence, the choux pastry here pales in comparison; this one is significantly less crusty, but still a light and well-executed one in its own right (because it's really not fair to compare them both this way). What won me in this one though is the generous filling of Vanilla cream within; it's thick, massively speckled with vanilla beans and really rich — absolutely good on its own. All that, and the fact that the pastry also now carries caramalised nuts within for a sweet crunch; a surprise element I would have never expected inside a choux puff. Certainly high up somewhere in my Choux pastry list even if it's not in the top spot.
Wow, I'm new to these and I've just realized they're so good. Each of these eclairs are nicely balanced so none of them are too sweet. Take for example the Ispahan, it's a harmony of lychee, rose and raspberry, with a beautiful edible rose petal gracing the top. It might sound expensive, but after having three of them, I'm assured that they are reasonably priced for its quality.
✨ Serving alongside Nishio matcha, having the dual flavours was a tea-riffic option that certainly didn't disappoint; much better than having the individual flavours in silo IMO. The combination was one with a robust, full bodied earthy flavour of Nishio matcha, coupled with its lingering pleasant umami note that blended harmoniously with the distinctive roasted flavour and aroma of the Houjicha softserve. The softserve was also smooth, creamy and thick, a melt-in-the mouth texture that I adore. Having tried the houjicha flavour in silo on my prior visit, I would highly recommend the twist (dual flavours) for the hardcore matchaholics as it comes with a stronger flavour profile .

Crusty pastry, very sour yellow Lemon cream, eaten together with the sweet cream, just right.
