Fancy some chocolate with your matcha? Then try this unique drink ($6, iced). It has a shot of matcha, chocolate honey and fresh milk. This cafe is situated in the folds of many other places offering lattes and joes so the consumer is indeed spoilt for choice. They also have a $3 special price for certain coffees early in the morning.

This is a very interesting drink for matcha connoiseurs. Try it and see if you can taste the difference between Uji matcha and Nishio matcha, the latter slightly priced more. The crema had a faint hint of yummy yuzu. At $6.30 it is on the expensive side but well, its real cream and not vegetable oil-based cream.

At $14.15 incl GST, it was expensive to get my Matcha fix match made in "matchaven." Had been craving dorayaki for the longest so scoured the menu and found this interesting plated matcha soft-serve which came with an additional 1 scoop of vanilla and 1 scoop of Matcha ice-cream. (Talk about letting go). The soft serve wasn't the yummiest in my Matcha books. But well, my dorayaki X matcha fix is taken care of now.....

Tried the Matcha Soft serve with Azuki and toasted buckwheat. Very dense in the mouthfeel and it was not too sweet. The pairing with the Azuki (sweet) lent a balanced overall taste. However, somehow it just doesn't click with my Matcha-crazy palate. In my opinion, the Matcha taste was somewhat lacking. Will perhaps try their other items. Price: $7.20 (Cash Only).The server was very friendly.

Great find, for lovers of Matcha Lattes! Authentically whisked with a chasen, delightful and antioxidant rich Matcha from Japan is added into the milk. Tried their iced Genmaicha Latte and Houjicha Latte (both can be made with no sugar added, yayy!). The lattes were not watered down with ice, like other places where they add so much ice you *almost* get nothing. Their soft serve flavour for the day was Matcha - Vanilla. Perfect mouthfeel i.e. creamy yet not too dense thus not cloying at all. Accepts credit card payment and also open early 😁
