Cafes In Bangsar
Matcha with passion fruit Monin syrup. Could use a stronger matcha flavour, but refreshing nonetheless.
I had a piccolo with coconut milk (RM8), love the slight sweetness from the milk. Most drinks are RM8 and RM10 with choices of non dairy milk at no additional cost. Definitely would be back to try their speciality drinks. Word has it that a couple of kiosk might be opening up in the coming months, one of them in Nu Sentral.
Fluffy and moist sponge cake with rich cream filling and nutty houjicha flavour. We were tempted to order another after this slice. They have two other flavour; matcha and black forest.
Think there was 6-8 flavours available, we had a hard time deciding cause it was all so good! Finally went with the houjicha and black sesame. Strong flavours but not overpowering. Single scoop (RM7), double (RM12), triple (RM16.50) or tower (RM25). If you’ve ordered any mains, just top up RM4 for a scoop!
200g chicken patty, perfectly seasoned and cooked well. Choose between two sauces; brown sauce or curry. We went with the latter, no regrets there. The side vegetables were erm, limited, would have loved more vegetables.
Chicken breast, apple slices, turkey ham, cheddar sandwiched between rye bread. The spiced maple peanut sauce tied everything together.
Slow cooked lamb ragu with ricotta and topped with rockets. Eat while it’s hot! Probably one of my favourite dish here.
Visually, it had an elegant and simple look. It’s made of a milky camembert cheese mousse, blueberry compote and a crunchy cornflake-cracker base. I reckon there could be more blueberry compote but still good for a light cheesecake.
Nescafe coffee mousse paired with Nescafe ganache, coffee pralines and topped with cocoa nib nougatine. Don’t underestimate this petite tart as the flavours are quite intense.
Zesty basil and lime curd with meringue sticks on top. This vibrant looking tart is pretty as a picture. The mousse is light and creamy. A refreshing dessert and my favourite amongst those I’ve tried.
Situation just next to Jaclyn Cakes in Telawi 2 is a small classy patisserie-florist. The desserts are made fresh daily and there’s also 4 types of biscuits available. I recommend the Chocolate Sandwich Cookie if you had to choose one.
