Their wings are a good dupe of McSpicy, where you sink your teeth into the crunchy batter to get to the steaming hot, tender meat inside. It’s really finger licking good and would go well with alcohol 🤪
Rarely see reviews of anything else apart from their burgers but thought this was worth a mention! Look at how their French Poulet Mid Joint Wings is glistening! Juicy and flavourful, this is one of the sides that you should order to go with your burger!
The wait for this Little Chicken in New York was definitely worth it! Every mouthful was bursting with juice and it was so fragrant, no sauce was needed at all. The fried chicken was also huge, instead of the small versions we are so accustomed to from fast food outlets, which makes it all the more irresistible. Accompanying it was the onion rings, French fries and salad, which completes the meal but I thought the onion rings felt a little deflated, could have added a little more life to it by making it crispier?
Read through reviews and found that the Blue Label Chicken Wings was highly raved about everyone and decided to order it. Got the buffalo wings which came with blue cheese ranch and man, was I blown away by that dip. The wings were fried to a crispy golden brown and once you sink your mouth into it, you'll get into the tender, juicy and succulent meat. Dip them into the blue cheese ranch that isn't overpoweringly pungent for a even more flavourful taste.
Known for their fried chicken, I decided to skip the famed Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles and focus entirely on their chicken by getting their Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken. Yes, I am a lady on a mission. This dish is so named because this 100 year old recipe is created by Lewellyn herself, or so I was told by the friendly staff. The chicken is brined for 27 hours, then battered in a medley of spices, and deep-fried to perfection. What you get is a plate of sinful indulgence, where you bite pass that lightly crisped skin to the juicy, tender and most importantly, savoury meat. the meat really does come off the bone easily, which makes cutting it less of a chore. Now, before you berate me with 'who eats fried chicken with utensils?!', you must understand the peer pressure when everyone around you is using utensils 😰 Not a fan of hot sauce in general, I paired my chicken with their bourbon maple syrup instead and I absolutely love it! My only qualm for this dish is that the herbs didn't really shine through for me, though it still makes for a pretty decent fried chicken.
the sides were decent, but not great tho
Fried to a crispy golden brown, I think prawn paste chicken is a staple everytime I patronise a tse char stall!
Not so much of a fan here for their wings but god, their curry fries here are so addictive !
Not the most appetising looking photo but this is my idea of a good night out: a heart Attack inducing platter of crispy fried tender chicken and an army stew (not in picture). I promptly lost my voice the next day after this so please eat in moderation people. 🤣
Fried chicken on a TGIF
Bar grubs // crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, the accompanying Chilli was so good !
Heart clogging-ly good. 3 Flavours in a bowl, garlic, spicy, and original. My fave was definitely the spicy one!
