Their crust was buttery and crumbly. Crumbly crust was very common but theirs wasn't fragile. Unlike some tau Sar Piag, once bite the whole "world" started to fall apart. Definitely worth the visit and it costed less than S$1 each.

Still one of my favouritest salted egg bao in Singapore. That sweet and salty milky custard that just oozes. ☺️ I love their spinach prawn dumpling as well. Transparent starchy skin filled w Chinese spinach and prawns. Adding that bit of greens to our dim sum brunch. 🌱 #burpple #sundaybrunch #dimsum

You know the people behind Harrianns are doing things right since they started way back in 1940s. The simple Kuih Kosuis here are evident testimonies, they were subtle and fragrant with each different flavor. They would do our nation/culture proud as ambassadors of our Kuehs beside the categorically similar yet with distinct difference: Japanese mochi and Korean rice cake representatives.
P.s: The glutinous rice that comes sweet or savory (or you could have a mix of both) is also a long time family favorite)

We came 2 people so the waiting time is quite long. They only accept cash payment so do bring enough cash, if not you may end up walking to 7-11 nearby to buy a thing and get them to help u change money at least 10$. For food, the chicken noodle was so so, spring rolls were rather vegetarian style with a bit meat and veggie soup as inside the filling, xiao long bao filling was ok but the skin was not as thin, so the best was Shanghai Bun (8.4$ for 6 baos). They will serve you Chrysanthemum tea and wet tissue even u dont ask for it and table fee will be shown in the receipt which was $2.4. I guess $2 is for the tea and the rest for wet tissue. I might come back for the yummy Shanghai bun and may try the Shanghai drunken chicken!

The Mother of all Char Siew Paus found here at Chinatown Complex. $2.80 for 3 steaming hot buns— defo worth the money and tummy jiggles. Chunks of meat marinated to perfection enveloped by fluffy dough, can't get any better than this 👌🏻 Was real tough to share in a lunch appointment for 2 cos we both wanted the last pau, lol #Burpplecheapandgood

Despite the flack that this place has received in recent years, there hasn't been a liusha bao that has satisfied my tastebuds as well as this one. This is the basis of comparison that I use for all my liushabaos just cause this tastes like childhood heaven. The dough is just the right texture of chewiness and the saucey goodness inside is DELECTABLE. Truly one of my first loves.

Everytime and anytime I'm craving some liu sha bao, Mouth Restaurant is my place first (prolly only) pick. The crust is polo-bao-like, sweet and blistered with a good crunch; but the bomb is what it encases. That silky smooth, rich and luscious salted egg custard is THE best I've had. It has that that sandy texture, and nails the balance between salty and sweet. And it's never too oily. I first tried this 4 years ago, and till now I haven't had anything better. #FindComfortHere

the char siew sou, crispy duck skin and liu sha pao were the best i've ever tasted. but...the rest were so-so, they weren't bad but not fantastic. the worst was the duck meat... it was so tough. my family barely touched the plate of duck meat. would come back here again, but only for the char siew sou and lsb.

This is the hollow version, without any toppings inside as we figured it will be too filling for us.
I have never tried this before, baby swore by this, and indeed, this isn't oily and is nice!
